  1. Me too i liked the Zed for a long time
  2. Yep, i think i will speak to some about adding resonators to the decats and/or adding a box. Found this article about the tokyo drift 350z which was running the APS TT kit and turbo back exhaust. Seems they used some Magnaflow mufflers to quiten it down. http://www.insideline.com/nissan/350z/2006/photos/tokyo-drift-test-drift-king-twin-turbo-350z-gallery.html
  3. Hi guys I am selling my 350GT Skyline after over a year and a half of happy ownership. The car is a 3.5 v6 with 290bhp with lots of extras some of which are very hard to find, low mileage with the preferable 6mt and desirable premium pack. It has been well maintained and is in very good condition. This particular model has a optional and rare creme interior which makes the cabin a great place to be. It is fun to drive and makes a good GT car and everyday car, easy to fit four adults and a big boot to boot! It is very rare and a real head turner. The spec: 2003, 48000 miles (approx). Blood Red with desirable premium pack: - Sought after 6 manual transmission - Full creme interior (rare) - Leather electric and heated seats - Electric folding & auto dipping mirrors - Brembo brakes - Xenon headlights - BOSE stereo with TV & Satnav (currently Japenese but can be converted) - Gunmetal 18" alloys (2 new tyers) - Nismo side skirts - Dual climate control - Air conditioning + more As mentioned the skyline is in very good condition and has been garaged or covered when parked on my drive. Regularly cleaned with high quality products, polished and sealed regularly and waxed with Zymol. Leathers have been treated with conditioner regularly and the car has been just serviced a few thousand miles ago. This car really has to be seen to be apreciated, the spec is very high inside and out, it is very unique and i have not found another Skyline quite like this one for sale. A great car that is sporty to drive, great to look at, rare and pratical, full of features and reliable too! £9995 reduced to £9000 for quick sale More pics here http://s881.photobucket.com/albums/ac13 ... e%20350gt/
  4. Thanks that sounds like a good suggestion, i was not really inclined towards the cats for the same reason, after all we remove them to reduce resricivness. I just want to take the edge of the sound. I might pay yourslef a visit sooner or later for a health check and perhaps some advice. Steady - I generally agree with you but i was just airing the options, TBH its not my preferance to do anything i dont have to, i think its awesome as is. As i said the noise is only really bothersome when cruising at a steady A road/motorway speed or having to accelerate a little to maintain speed, then there is a lot of drone. Its probably has alot to the with the combination of 3" true dual and the 3.5" decats. The car is my everyday driver, where as it was the previous owners weekend car. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I think i need an exhaust man to look at it, perhaps a combination of resonators/boxes (if theres space) will take the edge of it while retaining the best part.
  5. should get it on the ramps today, then i can have a see what im dealing with
  6. I think i prefer the dotz (though i havnt seen either in the flesh so its hard to be certain). Can anyone running the dotz tell me all the specs i need to order them in? Also do i require spacers to fit etc (or to get a reasonable stance). Any good places to buy them from? I heard a search and didnt find much on these wheels on the forum
  7. The axis Pentas only fit in 20" so their out. Im still trying to weigh up between the Fuel's and Dotz. Wondering which ones look better in the flesh and if there are any weight and quality diffreances. What do u guys think?
  8. I agree i think two ecv's might be a mess and also could get expensive if i go electronic. I think the decats are 3.5" straight pipes as on the APS webstite, i couldnt see any resonators but i havnt had it on the ramps yet so not 100% sure. TBH the sound is growing on me, its just when cruising at a constant A road or motorway speed they get a bit droany and invasive. Maybe fitting resonators would be a good solution and alot cheaper than high flow cats. The evc is good as its more of a volume control know rather than a permanat muffling.... will see how it goes. I read up on these and agree with you about the backpressure issue, i mean 2 3rds closed would be for pottering around anyway, so i cant see it having any real negative concequences. And wide open there would be little to no differance.
  9. Marzman - your the guy i was refering to in my first post i think, regarding the one who broke his wolf's. Thanks for the heads up, they are nice wheels tis a shame wonder if there are any similar ones around. Rising Power - Thanks for the info. Those wheels are but they are more expensive than the Fuel 5's and Dotz, however the price seems to be for 20", wonder how much 19's are. Are they better quality? Jay - fakeindian said there rubbish i shoudnt get em too . I think i might still go for em though ( i smell a conspiracy ) Still interested in feedback on quality and if one are better than the other. Any one running the Axis Penta's, might as well throw them in the mix too. Thanks guys
  10. Nice one, that sounds like a very good idea Forgot about those. One question, im not sure as im a zed newb but isnt the APS dual all the way, this means i will have to fit one to each side? Any links or recomendations to good ones, tried and tested perhaps? From what i understand you the more you close the butterfly the more it quitens the exhaust. But the gases still have to flow through the same exhaust so what differance does it reallymake? Also does restricting the flow cause any problems with too much back pressure or anything else. How did you find them, did they really work well?
  11. It is running well and pulls very hard and smothly. The seller said it was mapped on Tesco 99. I prefer Optimax myself. I will try to get take some vids just for you mate
  12. Hi guys Interested in buying some rims and was looking at these, rather than continue hijaking another thread with my questions i thought i would start my own. I searched for these two wheels and found that members are running them here, but i did not find any/many long term reviews/feedback on the reliability/quality of these. They are quite cheap and I read that a member with wolfrace sharks (similar price) had his seperate from the rim Thats why im asking the questions, so: Are either prone the frequent buckling or problems? And does the finish last (especially winter). And do they both fit well, so no wobbling or vibration issues? Also is one any better than the other in any issue (fitment, quality etc) And did going up to 19"s make any differance to the ride? Also just to make sure i get the right ones, what kind of offset and pcd did you go for (i think the zed is 22/112?). Did you have to run spacers and or wobbly bolts to get them to the right offset/look? Feel free to post a pic of your motor with them on Finally can anyone recommend anything similar to these or the wolfrace sharks for similar price. I browsed the wheel sticky thread but most of the wheels are too expensive for me Nice one guys, sorry for asking for any repeated info, and cheers for any help Heres the rims in question:
  13. Thanks, might look into that, wonder what prices im looking at for a good set.
  14. ballistic

    Fuel 5 19"

Thats cool so was i Thats sounds tempting now, i read here that the wolfrace sharks (which i like) are really weak and someone even seperated his from the rim, was wondering if these were the same as they are similar prices (sorry to hijack thread)
  15. ballistic

    Fuel 5 19"

    Thanks for the 'honest' reply
  16. ballistic

    Fuel 5 19"

They look good, i was looking at these too. There quite cheap too The only reservation i have is build quality, are they prone to bending/buckling or even breaking?
  17. I would say if you really want to do it than sell yours private and buy private. The patiance will save you loads. Or the above sugestion is good
  18. Nope Mine is at 420 Torque kills the motors not power (aswell as a poor map) If torque kills the motor why do people like Abbey quote 400bhp as the 'safe' benchmark? Also, who knows what figures that this kit has been running, for how long????? The fact the installers are claiming 437bhp, on standard internals, worries me............420bhp might be ok.....but for how long??? Not as long as sub 400 I'd estimate.... I think they quote the BHP as it relates to the torque and is a popular measurment people look at. The kit has been on since 07 and i have the power graphs, although they should always be taken with a pinch. I will get a leak down and full health check at some point, but the vacum reading is good, boost is very stable, sounds smooth on startup and the engine idles smooth, and sounds ok. I agree that the more power added the shorter the life of the engine. But i had a Fiat coupe running 340bhp/300lbs and we had others running 380bhp/340lbs on standards for a long time (40,000 in mine) and people used to say standards on the coupe were only good for 300. But i have heard the 400 figure qouted alot as the safe figure for a TT zed. However mapping (fueling/timing etc) and cooling is critical to these issues so its hard to be pinpoint accurate. 400bhp could be safer, but 350 is even safer, but 350 can let go if mapped poorly etc Thanks for all the advice and welcomes guys, seems like a good forum
  19. or at least quitening it down a bit Hi guys, i bought a Zed with APS 3" exhaust and 3.5" decats.... Suffice to say it pretty loud. Was wondering if any one had any experiance or ideas on a good way to make it more quite. I have the OE exhaust with cats etc in garage but i was really thinking about the possibility of adding some mufflers rather than re-fitting the cats. So any sensible ideas Cheers guys
  20. Thanks mate. Does sounds a bit high, but the boost and torque is low. I might speak to someone about ideas for quitening the exhaust, than maybe getting the mapping checked/adjusted at the same time........... Althought the sound might be growing on me At some point down the round i might even go the forged route and crank the boost up a bit and see what we can get, i think it will get close to 600 from research Think i will learn to use the power i got first
  21. Thanks guys nice welcome I thought 'mbs' ment that it was overpriced before thats why it didnt sell... as a response to my question? z veteren: I have had a little experiance with tuning so i checked it out and it looks a good install. Power graphs look good etc (437 bhp and 380 lbs). Engine sounds good no knocking or detting, idles smooth etc. The seller seemed a genuine guy who spent time and money and care on his motor, so i went for it. The work was done by these chaps http://www.enginetuner.co.uk/home.htm. They look to have experiance and rep so that was re-assuring. As you said it would cost me more to do it myself i think, even without the labour, (me and my brother would have had a crack). What u guys think the cars worth without the mods? I only have one issue with the zed, it has the 3" APS exhaust and 3.5" decats it is a bit loud for an everyday driver. Not sure if it possible to quiten it down by fitting some boxes or something.... maybe reinstalling the cats. The huge exhaust and low boost (.5/.6 bar) may explain the lower than usual torque output. But than thats probably better for the clutch and rods etc. Might post this up in the exhasut section.
  22. Thanks guys Defo on the new mats, these ones also get caught on my foot aswell. Will take some pics when i can and get those up. Im based in East London It has been on and off sale for a loooooong time, makes me wonder why nobody bought it, hope i didnt miss anything when i looked it over and its a wrongen
  23. Thanks You guys really know how to welcome a new member, thnks for uploadin the pics i suppose

Good car? Good price?
