In my opinion, purely from an Aesthetic viewpoint, the asymmetrical single vent looks nicer. However we all have our own opinions, if you like it do it - there'd be no point in moding cars if everyone did it exactly the same! That depends if you have a dual intake or not.

Is that the same for the 313s?

I think it would look better asymmetrical as it is - 1 on each side may look a little odd... but I'll await pictures before I judge.

Not necessarily the earth connection on the battery - my problem was the strap from the engine to the chassis.

Maybe it's just the anthracite (or whatever finish that is) on the image I posted that I don't like as much - looks cleaner in the silver.

+1, had this on an MR2 once. BTW, if it fails to start quite a few times the earth will try and find the next easiest route to earth which isn't sufficient, this happens to be the throttle cable on an MR2! Got rather annoyed with the AA man who just kept trying and trying until I told him to stop because the throttle cable was starting to smoke!

He's definitely skilled, but I'm not too sure about the whole thing tbh, some parts are nice but far to ott for me... I'd hate to see someone add that much weight to a Z anyway.

My Mk1 Supercharger wasn't too bad on fuel economy... the Mk2 tubby on the other hand wasn't even in double figures!

You'd have to go for a supercharger if you were going the Mk1 mr2 route, this looks nice - shame it's a tin-top instead of t-bar though: http://www.mr2mk1club.com/forum/viewtop ... =36&t=6015 I used to have a very modded supercharger (190bhp according to the garage that modded it, never tested it though), probably the most fun I've had in a car before my brother rolled it!

Ooooh let me know how much the gen3 ultra long dual intakes (for '07 HR engine) will cost when you know... I may want you guys to fit them as well as apparently they're a PITA to fit so if you can include a fitted & not fitted price that would be great.

If you're getting nothing on the screen (not even the backlight) it could be the screen (or the module it attaches to) - they can usually be replaced but for the price I'd want to be 100% sure first! You may get some luck if you plug in an external monitor to test - however it may need a function key for the monitor port to work.

He should probably mention putting someone else on your policy, I always put my dad on as a named driver and get a huge discount because of it (I'm 33 btw).

Do you get anything on the screen at all?

I'm not sure about the watch - a lot of guys have watches that have meaning (given by their father, family heirloom that kinda thing) so they may never wear it and feel uncomfortable about it.

I know I've offered already, but could I make sure I know what you're talking about - previously when someone's asked me to "sort em out" it hasn't involved spark leads! (Well ok, maybe once, but she was weird!)... I don't want to get a *shock* when I get there! On a serious note, you may want to discuss insurance (and worst case scenarios) with whoever the lucky volunteer is - it'd be gutting for both parties if something happened during the trip to the valet place. It may even be worth asking your insurance to add them to your policy fully comp for the day - the insurance company may do it for free considering the circumstances.
