Out of curiosity, anybody know how long you can leave a Z ('07 313 GT roadster) with just the alarm on before it runs out from full battery? Well, drained enough not to start anyway.

I have the chipsaway guy coming around to give me a quote for a small stone chip and an alloy refurb in about 30 minutes. I haven't driven my car in about 3 weeks, that last drive was a very short journey and I hadn't driven it for about 2 weeks before that. I thought I'd give it a wash so the guy can see the paintwork clean but my frickin batteries dead!! DOH! I wonder if the chipsaway guy has any jump leads?

In my opinion, purely from an Aesthetic viewpoint, the asymmetrical single vent looks nicer. However we all have our own opinions, if you like it do it - there'd be no point in moding cars if everyone did it exactly the same! That depends if you have a dual intake or not.

Is that the same for the 313s?

I think it would look better asymmetrical as it is - 1 on each side may look a little odd... but I'll await pictures before I judge.

Not necessarily the earth connection on the battery - my problem was the strap from the engine to the chassis.

Maybe it's just the anthracite (or whatever finish that is) on the image I posted that I don't like as much - looks cleaner in the silver.

+1, had this on an MR2 once. BTW, if it fails to start quite a few times the earth will try and find the next easiest route to earth which isn't sufficient, this happens to be the throttle cable on an MR2! Got rather annoyed with the AA man who just kept trying and trying until I told him to stop because the throttle cable was starting to smoke!

My Mk1 Supercharger wasn't too bad on fuel economy... the Mk2 tubby on the other hand wasn't even in double figures!
