    How frustrating Paul. Is there no way to secure one end then to twist the other round. I'm sure you have probably tried. Have you a bunson burner to heat one end through enough to try a twist

    You could make a template and cut your own in, however watch the areas of the underside as it's double skinned in places. Alternately get a universal set off Ebay, you will still need to cut the bonnet at some point though. The R35 vents look good once fitted on Z .

    I hope you can resolve this, sounds like a possible foreign body in the pipework displaying itself more in 1st, and would hate to think this is a box issue.

    Go with a plenum spacer and upgrade your air intake/ exhaust then a map. You will be happy.
