be careful trusting the traction control too much - its got a reputation for being a bit dim-witted in these cars.

I may be wrong, but I think the visible 'seal' is nothing more than a trim. I beleive the seal should be made by the adhesive bonding the screen in. The only proper fix would be to have the screen cut-out and fitted again. Good luck.

Anyway, its now midnight on the night before the Wales trip, and I have no back bumber on my car and some of the wiring loom spread out on the garage floor Fingers crossed it all goes back together in the morning and works! I've voted never, never, never.... ....always used Shell V-Power (80%) or Tesco 99 (20%) since I bought mine. Mind you, I checked the MOTs, and I've only done 3.5k miles in the last year, so there's not much excuse for not finding the right fuel, really!
