  1. Thanks for the replies guys - I think I might pm SwanageDave and see who the firm is.
  2. Hi all, I seem to remember a while ago that somebody on here said that their family ran an asbestos removal contractor in the Dorset area, but I can't remember who. Does anybody have a good contact for that in the Poole/Wimborne area? I've got a few bits at home that I need to have removed. Thanks guys, Dave
  3. hi tommyyarpyarp, I'm afraid I haven't even got as far as thinking seriously about price just yet, as I'm not really quite ready to part with it! I hope the mods don't mind me answering the spec question here, as its not supposed to be a for sale thread? Mods - please delete if not appropriate. As for spec, its a 2007, 57 313 GT-pack in Night Blue with Frost Leather. Its totally standard, with full Nissan Service History, and 19,500miles at the moment. Being a GT, its got the usual heated leather seats, cruise control, Bose, bluetooth handsfree. Its also got factory SatNav, and rear parking sensors.

  5. I had mine serviced at Martin's Nissan in Winchester last year, and they were good on price for a main dealer. As I recall, others seem to have a good opinion of them. I had to supply the oil, though, to ensure that they used the right stuff!

  7. To be fair Radio 4 comedies are superb at times - probably too funny to listen to while driving!

  9. I'm 'only' 32, and my standard Bose is tuned in to Radio 4, and barely ever on even then - is that wrong?

  11. Mine will probably be up for sale in the Spring/Summer if you can wait that long. Just moved to a bigger house, so need to economise somewhere! Its the very dark Night Blue, not black, though!

  13. Welcome! This is the 'Frost' interior in mine if its any help. It was an option from the 2007 model year onwards.

  15. Gutted for you mate - I know it doesn't help much right now, but as others have said the main thing is that nobody was hurt and the metal box around you took the worst of it! Hope you get a good outcome from the insurance claim, and enjoy looking for a replacement.
  16. Oh yeah - I forgot Chinatown, it is really worth a visit and a meal! The 'exploratorium' science museum is also worth a look. If you can get that far, Monterey is a nice town - then you could drive down 'Big Sur' coast road (route 1, I think!)
  17. Sorry - didn't want to alarm you, just trying to warn that it might not be the bulb itself. there is some good info here: http://www.renaultforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1833&highlight=laguna+xenon+headlights&page=2. It seems that if the bulb is near the end of its life, it will cycle on and off, whereas a faulty ballast will cause it not to ignite at all. looks like the only other way to really diagnose is to swap a known good bulb (e.g. your other one), but you need to be very careful of the residual high voltage from the ballast.
  18. A bit obvious really - but you can't miss Alcatraz while you're there. Edit:- this place was good when it was the San Francisco Brewing Company http://www.comstocksaloon.com/, but it changed ownership in 2009, so I don't know now. They used to brew thier own beer onsite, but it doesn't look like they do that anymore.
  19. They are xenons - I'm sure if you use the search function you'll be able to find the exact bulb type, and then look elsewhere. There are loads of places that sell the HID bulbs online. edit:- should also have said, it could be the ballast, not the bulb that has packed-up
  20. Some pads don't fit as well in some calipers as the originals, and can give a clunk if you have used the brakes in reverse, then use them going forwards, or vice-versa. This is because the pads can move a bit too much in the caliper. I don't know how much of a problem this is on the Brembos. The symptoms above would just be a single clunk when you first press the pedal, as Keyser was asking about.
  21. Hi and welcome - that is one very tasty looking zed
  22. Really gutted for you over that mate! Hope you get it sorted out soon, and its not too pricey.
  23. If I recall correctly, its the '07 onwards HR model that has the slave cylinder concentric to the gearbox input shaft, in place of the thrust bearing. You've got to remove the gearbox to change that one. I think on yours you'll be okay as Keyser said - have a quick look for it undeneath and you'll know for sure!

    New wheels

Don't you need some spacers? Only kidding, I have to say they look just about the perfect wheels for a zed in my opinion
