So I was off last Thursday, worked Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Off tomorrow. Working Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
Most of these days will be from 8am to 7pm. Apart from this Wednesday and Friday. 7am to 6pm.
Eugh! Does not driving the Z really save you much money? Surely you'd be better off selling it, then you can avoid the really big expenses like Tax, MOT, Insurance, Depreciation, etc? And you'd get instant capital for the house.
Not driving the zed does suck but when doing a 3mile round trip to work it just doesn't make sense. Also I wouldn't park the zed in a random road like we do with her car as its free. I would only park in the car park which was £7.50 a day.
I would be better off selling it but then I'd lose my mind just driving a normal car all the time. Need that adrenaline rush every now and then.
I'm still here btw. Not going away. just driving less. Zed is now a fun weekend car. Daily driver is Jemma's 1.4 8v 206 to help us save for a place together. In the last 6 months I've done about 1500 miles in my zed. Before that I was doing 12000 a year.
Here's the link to my bit on my build thread. It's a few posts down...

Where yours uses your iPad, mine uses my mobile phone. it mirrors everything onto the Pioneer head unit and still lets me control it with the Pioneer touch screen. So internet, sat nav, music, video, film, games, etc. anything my phone does I can do.
Not sure I agree with that totally, my double din doesn't have email, text, digital out. Yes of course the priority is to drive the car and not be fiddling with email whilst driving, which is common sense. But allows me to receive information of needed where I'm able to view etc.
But the main priority was the digital signal as you know.
It also means that my singular ipad can be transfered between Zed and Alfa, and you can't do that with a double din either.
I'n addition my double din doesn't have "dash command" which is for engine management.
I could go on......
Nice work Ian. My setup does what Dave is going on about. Just not the digital out bit.
