Loving the GTR brakes, much hassle to fit? custom brackets? Yeah I noticed the cosworth head gaskets but there are quite a few nissan oem ones that need replaced when doing a full strip/build, What do you plan on reving to?(what are the BC springs rated for). Didn't know cosworth did 10.3 comp pistons, good choice and as you say the meth should help avoid knock with lower intemp.

Where did you get the fluidampr as it's one of the last puzzle pieces for my build. The items you have look like good quality stuff, did you buy an engine gasket rebuild kit? What compression pistons did you go for i thought cosworth only did high and low? L17 head studs? Watching with interest.

Stick you car on axle stands and spin a rear wheel with your hand if the other spins in same direction you have a VLSD, also if your pumpkin has fins it does and saves you hassle of lifting the car. Or do a burnout with one wheel....

If you have the VLSD then there is no difference as far as I'm aware OK cool, the only difference I know of is mine does not have the cooling fins on the outside.

forgot to mention mine is an 03 JDM with viscous LSD so slightly different pumpkin to the others just in case I need a different one to fit in it.

Probably only talking £100's of a price difference, unless you have a 2jz laying around like some people custom mounts, fueling, new ecu, upgraded parts on the 2jz for big power, adapter plates, custom rad hoses, custom exhaust, gauges, lot easier to stick some forged rods and a turbo on the vq. But if its an engine you are more accustom too then you can use your knowledge to save money. I would be half tempted to stick a vq in something if I had a spare car and engine.

Hope it hasn't knocked your confidence, these things happen as long as everyone is ok then no harm done, just metal and experience. hence why I am scared of driving mine up tomorrow/ anytime in the wet.
