  1. That is harsh! I never let a car go without direct bank transfer (seeing the money in my account) or cash in hand. I don't know the buyer from Adam so why would I accept a bank draft?!
  2. Not the flying kind but the kind that works as a hands free device. I have a Parrot device in my runaround, an Audi A3, but it was installed when I bought the car and the screen is missing for some reason, I didn't buy the car direct from the previous owner but from a mate who is a car dealer. I'm trying to figure out which model of Parrot it is though. There are 3 cables coming out under the dash, one for an iPod, one for a USB and one for a line in. On the dash there is a little dock, with a USB style connector, on the top of the windscreen by the rear view mirror there are 2 little microphones and finally on the interior cabin lights by the rear view mirror there is a little control with the green and red buttons as well as volume knob. I think pictures may be needed to confirm it but does anyone know what model it is from that description?
  3. 5' 10" no probs for me, although my brother got in the passenger seat for a long drive some time back and complained that the floor was too high, as in his legs were stretched right out and not down. He didn't complain when we got there though, actually said it was quite comfortable. Ask Chris Jones how he finds the car though, he's a tall one!
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wESrtAdYdn0 1:30 - insurance according to Chris Rock oh so true!
  5. That's a really nice gesture. There are good people about after all The Nissan community is a pretty good one, far better than others in my opinion.
  6. Just noticed this: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=41522 It's a forum member's car. I think you might just be in for a good buy then
  7. It looks very clean from the pics mate! I wouldn't be put off by the fact that it's a GT an there's no mention of it in the advert, it might be possible that the dealer doesn't know the difference, or believes all 350's come in the same spec. The mileage shouldn't put you off either as long as it has full service history and the usuals check out okay you'll be fine. Just to add, if it's only a mile away go and have a look and a test drive
  8. I can't even imagine it, it would have been a living hell and he must have been one hell of a strong guy and by the sounds of it his wife stood by him. Bring back the death penalty we're too soft on criminals for such serious crimes.
  9. Does this Fife Zed drink like the Scots?
  10. Haha that is sweet justice. I'm sure plenty more justice will be handed out to him in jail and rightly so. You see what they do to people like this in countries where the prison system isn't so 'fair'? I wouldn't go so far as to agree to it but it is deserved. As for the poor guy who got set up I feel very sorry for him, I hope he manages to move on with his life.
  11. Dealer prices for things like that are always astronomical! I would certainly go aftermarket or failing that through a motorfactors.
  12. Sounds like a joke, Nissan paint is so thin anyway that it seems like a pointless feature.
  13. Interesting to know who you guys are with. I might combine my Audi with my Zed then and see how it works out on a multi car policy. I have 2 years NCB on my 370 so there's a great difference but then you know to hand over money for insurance within reason is never too bad as it's all forgotten about when you take her out for a drive.
  14. Just out of interest which company do you guys with Black Editions insure with? Just had my renewal through from Elephant and at £1300 re-running the quote with another company in the same group (Admiral of EUI trading) it comes out around £1000 which is a little more acceptable but still. Are there any 370Z friendly insurance companies, if not I'll pay the 1k, it's only £200 more than my 350 cost me
  15. I hope it's fast to make up for that horrible 'body kit'. I'd like to see a video of it running/engine bay.
  16. It could be just as bad you could have gone for the A5 and got the bug as well
  17. This car has coilovers, camber arms and correct offset wheels on it. Very simple, but setup correctly very very effective. As for a daily driver it really depends. There is no requirement for arch rolling on the 370 as they're already rolled. Chose the correct spring rate and offset on wheels so they don't scrape and I don't see any reason not to have a nice daily driver there. Of course if your roads are shocking then you may have to adopt an 'I'm not drunk I'm avoiding potholes' sticker
  18. how much is the fine??? Normally it's a ban... I agree with you Tay, I bought a 2 seater as a car for ME to enjoy and not for people to get driven places, picked up etc... Do I get a prize for getting 3 guys in a del sol, Mk3 CRX that is for those that don't know? I have to agree though, the Zed is a car for you, I swear it's more fun to drive on your own, no passenger with a few mates in other cars (preferably Zed's).
  19. Sounds like a nice setup having worked for a mate before I can truly say it's one of the best things especially if you enjoy the job and you have a good friendship. I'd do it again.
  20. Poor build quality and finish would be enough to put me off. Not to say the actual unit is of inferior quality.
  21. Nice I wish I could afford to buy the missus a 370 roadster
