  1. Sums it all up really, tyres are so important. I pay extra for mine but I know they're going to do the job I want. That said I don't take my Nissan out in icy weather and I try not to in wet weather, it's a fair weather car. For everything else I use my A3 Quattro but I'm intrigued to see how well it will (or most likely won't) handle in the icy conditions especially considering it has 18" wheels on it.

    trolley jack

Invest in a good jack. I have one very similar to this: Very low and nice wide jack point.
  3. Love it mate, I still miss my black 350!
  4. That's some bad luck mate, I sympathise. I too had too much faith in ESP until recently when I nearly ended up putting the 370 into a wall, the roads at this time of year are such a nightmare. It's a wake up call for sure. Main thing is no one was hurt!
  5. "I would try gumtree but I would have half of nigeria wanting me to send them via Western Union" Hahahahaha! The first thread is quality too!
  6. I did have a look at that, it's got to be an Android phone really. HTCs certainly look good.
  7. Interesting I quite like the look of them, maybe the question I should be asking then is can anyone recommend a good phone, smartphone preferably, as the right tariff can be had anywhere.
  8. congrats mate, don't get blown off the road!
  9. Cheers for the info Andy. I did call them again not even citing financial difficulties (not that I am) stating that I wanted to downgrade to the lowest and they stated it would be from the next bill at £20 a month which isn't too bad. I may very well downgrade, stick two fingers up to the network and leave. I'm quite tempted by the Android phones to be honest, they look and feel good. I'm not an Apple man so I ruled the iPhone out a long time ago plus I'm not paying an upfront premium to own it. Anyone recommend a really good tariff at the moment circa £30/month?
  10. Can't resist it when it's free! Even though I already have a few tyre tread gauges
  11. Hi guys, looking for a little help on this one. I have a phone contract as we all do but my problem is that it's quite frankly rubbish. It's with O2 and for £30 a month I get 300 mins and unlimited texts. I think this is a pretty poor deal, the guy at O2 even agreed! The phone is utterly crap, Sony Ericsson Satio, the software is buggy, it crashes, often locks up so I need to remove the battery etc, the only good point it has is the fact that it has a 12 mega pixel camera. It was great when I first got it but 12 months in and it's starting to show it's age. Why have an 18/24 month contract when the phone just won't last?! Anyway I called up O2 this afternoon to find out how much they wanted to buy my contract out, they want £180 plus my most recent bill pushing it to somewhere near £240. I need to know is there anyway I can buy it out cheaper? Can I go to another provider and sign up with them and get them to part subsidise my buy out? Basically I want to pay as little as possible to get out of this terrible contract. O2 tell me I can't do anything with them to reduce the buy out. I think the top trade in on those cash for mobile websites is somewhere in the region of £150 so I can knock that off but I just want out of a terrible contract with a shocking phone (possibly the last Sony Ericsson I ever have).
  12. The foreigners fought the same war we did mate but I know what you mean. Unfortunately I was stuck on the phone in work at the time and feel bad for not observing it!
  13. For this reason I have no direct debit setup for my mobile phone. Direct Debits are the devil when it comes to phones.
  14. Who's broken down in their 370 already? Or am I tempting fate asking that question?
  15. They do mate, if you want any more info give me a pm. It's a lovely place, only completed in late 2008, we went out there for the first time in January and it's stunning. 16. Spotted this and totally forgot to post up. Last Friday (5th November) in St Davids Car Park. I must say brave man, my 370 grounds out in there and I clipped my wheel on the 2ft high curbs in there! Looked nice, Nismo'd up with standard black wheels. Most likely wouldn't have noticed my A3 parked next to it as it's far from a Zed.
  17. Must be an Anniversary thing then? I'm not going to complain
  18. Nice, the 370 Roadster is quite nice.
  19. Back to the wheels, nice but for that money I'd be wanting some Volk/Enkei/Advan! yes please!
  20. ^ makes me want to get on the slopes! Thankfully I'll be going snowboarding in January although I'm going to have to settle for Switzerland as I don't have the time to venture further.
  21. Same. That said I can only think of one Shell garage in the whole of Cardiff.
