  1. I paid £450 on my renewal this year. It's a sad state of affairs when insurance is cheaper than tax.
  2. Zafira drivers, says it all really. I hate these sorts of cars and their drivers. They are usually pretty absent minded.

    BMW????

Owner must have a sense of humour, that is funny.
  4. Looks great, I wonder if they'll sell many of these in the UK though. Wouldn't mind seeing what difference the GTR brake lines and fluid does for the setup.
  5. Good luck with the sale buddy. Despite what people say I think the 370 convertible is a great looking car!

    Traction Issues

I'd accept that point but the car has done 1000 miles since the rear tyres were put on, I honestly expected them to settle down after a few hundred miles as well but when you're planting your foot in fourth and the traction control is lighting up it's not something that fills you with confidence. It's interesting that you say that. I think as a last ditch attempt I will get a set of Vreds on the front as I do think really there should be matching front and back tyres on there. My brother has MPSS on his GTR and absolutely raves about them, I'm thinking I should have just gone with them. I was just a bit disheartened as the Bridgestones that came off the car lasted just over 9k miles so really wanted a change, maybe I should have been more cautious as I never suffered the issues I now have on the Bridgestones.

    Traction Issues

Hi all, It's been a while since I've been on these forums but I still have my 370, it's my only car now, more of a toy than anything. I recently replaced the rear tyres for Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas as the Bridgestones RE050s were no good, or so I thought. Since replacing the tyres I've noticed a lot of traction issues. The car wants to kick out a lot more, traction control kicks in under heavy acceleration, something I never suffered from before. Now I don't want to go pointing the finger at the rear tyres straight away as I see a few people run these on the forum with no issues at all. At the end of the day they aren't cheap chinese tyres but these are brand new and the Bridgestones were right on the legal limit. A few points worth noting is that I still have the Bridgestones on the front of the car, the tread is still pretty good however it does play on my mind that I have different brand tyres on the front to the rear. Another issues is that the car has been fiddled with slightly, it has been lowered has Stillen Gen 3 intakes, Berk HFCs and a Fast Intentions Exhaust. The latter has only been on for a week and I'm well aware the car needs a map (Ecutek will come in due course). With all of these points considered should I be experiencing the problems I'm having? I don't want to say that the car is undriveable but with the traction control kicking in more often than it used to on the Bridgestone rears it doesn't inspire the sort of confidence I used to have in the car. If of course the simple answer is ditch the Bridgestones on the front and get a set of Vreds on there are as well will fix the problem then I'll go ahead and do it but at the moment I'm not whole heartedly confident in the Vreds. Opinions welcome, cheers.
  8. I got rid of my 350 due to it's gearbox problems. I've yet to encounter any problems in my 370. It's very much luck of the draw. Nissans seems notorious for their gearboxes.
  9. I was going to say, I removed the spacers from my 350 ages ago and they went straight on my 370.
  10. It's not sold and I've been MIA for a long time for various reasons I won't bore anyone with. Someone did message me a while back about the kit and I can't find the messages or anything I'll be honest I can't remember who it was either (edit: looking through the above posts it could have been Kev actually). I'm in a bit of a different position to the one I was in before and I'm looking to get the kit on the car soon so unless anything changes I'd consider this withdrawn from sale, however this may change if I find it's impossible to live with a daily driver that has an Amuse kit on it.
  11. Well done mate, a lot of what you say about your old job rings true. I hope the new venture is exciting. Think I need to have a change up as well.
  12. Sorry Kev, I had neglected the inbox to be honest! I didn't realise it had filled up. I'll pop a reply over to you now mate.

    Sky+ Box

I know mate, the old man said that as well but none of the houses on the estate have aerials on the roof. Either it's a strong signal area or I'm just unlucky and the aerial in my roof is no good. Either way to save me possibly putting a foot through one of my ceilings by messing around in the loft it's easier to pop in a sky box, or freesat like you say.

    Sky+ Box

Does anyone have a Sky+ box kicking about? The signal in the house I've moved in to is rubbish and I don't fancy messing around with the aerial in the loft space. The previous owners used to have Sky and the dish and points are still in place so I was going to just get a Sky+ box and stick a freeview card in it as that looks like the easiest option. I'll take a remote and any leads with it if anyone has one, thanks.
  15. I tired of Windows and took the plunge to installed Ubuntu, can't say I've looked back
  16. I'm thinking of that GTR. Best of luck with the venture mate
  17. Bit of a waste of carbon to be honest, you can't see anything when it's fitted up really. Reckon when the time comes I'll probably go for a GTHAUS Meisterschaft, it sounds evil.

    BMW Stuff

Get some HFCs on it and fall in love
  19. It's does its job, gets people talking about their cars!
  20. I've not heard of this issue sounds a little worrying to be honest.
  21. No car is faster than a courtesy car
  22. +1 not seen this before but makes it much easier to read!
