  1. That's quite a plan provided the price was right. I board so could be down for a potential, the girlfriend would probably be up for it as well, although hate to admit she is better at boarding than me
  2. It all depends what you intend to use it for. We have both the new ipad3 and the nexus 7 in our house. The ipad is designed more as a device you would use at home or in the office and you wouldnt want to lug it about all over the place. The 7" tabs, like the nexus 7 (and the samsung tab 2 7inch etc) are designed to be a lot more portable. They will easily fit in a girls handbag, or in many coat pockets etc.. so you can take them anywhere. They are roughly the same size & weight as a small paperback book. If your going to lug an ipad about you may as well take your laptop. If you try holding your ipad for any length of time it soon becomes a bit uncomfortable - which is why everyone buys these cases which fold out into a little stand for them. Whereas the 7" tablet is much lighter and easier to hold. The 7" tablet market seems to have gone through the roof. A lot of people see it as the optimum size for a hand held tablet. Even apple who stated that they would never make a 7" tablet are considering getting a slice of the action. For me the thing I had to try and decide on was would I really use a 7" tablet, when ive got an Galaxy s2 phone which does it all anyway. If your wanting something which you`ll probably mainly use in the house, maybe just for web browing or looking at photos then the ipad would make more sense. But even then id probably opt for a netbook or laptop as i find it much easier to type on a proper keyboard. One thing I dont like on the ipad is the screen is 4:3 ratio - the same as old CRT tellys were before widescreen came out, so if your trying to watch tv or films on it, you either have to zoom in and miss half the picture, or loose 1/2 the screen with big black bars top & bottom. My missus does love her ipad though, but from watching her use of it over the last month or so, she uses it as an e-reader most of the time - rather than use her kindle, she uses the ipad to show friends her photos, and she also uses it to go onto facebook. Thats it really. That's pretty balanced to be fair mate, I think you've hit the nail on the head for me. I might see if I can have a little play on a Nexus and make up my mind
  3. Bump, house sale is going through and unfortunately for me this needs to go to be honest I will probably pull the sheets off it on the weekend and get a few better pics with a camera and not my phone as I've just realised how bad these pictures are and do not do this kit any justice what so ever!
  4. After playing on a new iPad, I think the size is just right. I'd be worried if I went for one of these it would seem a little small. What's people views on that?
  5. Dear lord synchronised diving is possibly the most boring drivel I've ever watched.
  6. Not a fan of those wheels but love the 300.
  7. Yep US Spec is slightly different to be honest. By the way, bit off topic but is that a Sunbeam in your avatar pic? My old man used to have one exactly the same colour if it is!
  8. That's stunning. Love the wheels as well, need me a set!
  9. I burst out laughing the first time I saw that bell fly off, I was still laughing after watching it for the 10th time. He really rang that bell with some enthusiasm!
  10. Cracking pics as always Clown
  11. Politicians aren't that clever!
  12. This is sound advice, you learn, you pass, you know next to nothing about riding. I felt great about passing, it was a real buzz but I'd only ever ridden on the road under the supervision of an instructor or in my tests. Real world riding is a lot different and it takes a long time to get up to speed.
  13. My gran used to have a Mayfair, she did a cracking number on it, flipping it in a 30 zone when she was 93 thankfully she walked away unharmed.
  14. As said they don't take it in to consideration, car is on book value not on what tax it has. Cash that tax in, as it's a 12 month disk you'll get a good amount of it back.
  15. Jesus, imagine coming across that after one too many beers, it would ruin you!
  16. They should just do away with the stars and stripes and have a slogan on a white background saying "live by the gun, die by the gun". It's crazy to think that there will be no amendment to the laws, especially their ancient and massively outdated constitution following this, Americans will carry on as if nothing happened...
  17. Soddin' Olympics can bugger off, it's all you hear about!
  18. Looks good lowered on springs with spacers mate
  19. The prices will only go up so much as there is a tipping point where it becomes no cheaper to buy vouchers than to go to the supermarket and benefit from the goods and vouchers as the same price as the vouchers are on their own.
  20. They paint these bloody zig zag lines everywhere these days, they're hard to avoid! Best of luck with beating them on this one mate, they were wrong to do you.
  21. haha - booked in for my DA... so it will be my first bike. The bike above is 250kg's so not as heavy as a norm HD as its smaller. I have been reading a lot into this as it was my only concern.. (not being able to stand it up!). It also sits low to the floor and many reviews say its the perfect bike for smaller* guys . Im 5,10 so shouldn't be a big issue but I will def give it a test before I commit to anything. cheers for the advice I'm sure Jodi Marsh had one..... It's the 'girls' harley so you'd be fine! haha thanks for telling everyone Stew... really appreciate that one mate It would just be for fun, so a weekend bike (even though my z is a weekend car). the only use for it would just be to go out and ride.... my only other option would be a ducati monster 796. which is a completely different bike. If I struggle with the weight of the harley then I will have to get something more appropriate for a first bike... time will tell/I will beast the gym some more Jodie Marsh is a beast! I think the Harley's a great looking bike, apparently they're not great to ride though. I love the Monster though and would definitely have one. My brother has just bought a 2012 Suzuki GSR which is a naked bike with a slightly de-tuned GSXR engine in it. Very tempted to boot the R6 for one.
