  1. Yeah, bet its gonna be a nightmare. Luckily I haven't got to go to work for another 2 weeks so I can actually enjoy the snow. Lol
  2. A few centimeters here this morning.
  3. Clear blue and sunny all day here.
  4. Another option. Not exactly subtle, but its different from the norm and I like it. Its a Kaminari PU Air Dam.
  5. My car was running on the Vortech Split Second tuning box and fueling for over 5 years with out issue. I believe the map was tweaked a bit during that time but it is meant to be ok out of the box. As you both have said, as long as you keep an eye on your AFRs while at WOT you should be fine. The car will run completely standard on the ECU until boost is sensed by the SS box then it will turn on the auxiliary fuel pump and adjust the tune accordingly. If you have any problems or are really worried about it, just take off the cog belt. You can then drive as normal as no boost will be produced.
  6. Welcome to the club. I hope the oil issue isn't too serious, but if it's not leaking but still disappearing it usually isn't good news. You may be able to prolong any need for work by changing to a thicker oil in the mean time.
  7. I used to have kinetic hfc and got the same codes as you regularly. I fitted the spacers and it it reduced it significantly, once every month or so after a hard run or if particularly cold outside. I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep checking the codes and if its the same ones reset them, wont do ant harm. Alternatively, getting an UPREV tune will turn them off perminantly and make the most of your mods.
  8. Adrian, For your consideration have a read here: http://www.350z-uk.c..._cooler__st__20 I ended up with this oil cooler set up http://www.driftwork...vt-s14-s15.html Its pretty cheap for the entire set up Hoses, fittings, Cooler and thermostatic sandwich plate and if can keep a drift car cool, its good enough for us! Also it has a 92Deg C thermostatic sandwich plate which I couldn't find anywhere else. I think this is pretty important for a daily driver as it can take a while for your oil to get up to temp and a few others have told me in the winter they struggle to get above 60-70deg with a standard Thermostatic valve. I would also, possibly have a re-think about the gauges. I appreciate you may not like the look of them but I am VERY glad I have mine, in particular the AFR and Oil Temp. I would say they are a necessity for longevity. I have had a couple of issues over the last couple of years regarding fueling One of which was a faulty injector and the other a tuning issue during the open/closed loop transition. The AFR gauge showed I was running dangerously lean from time to time and it allowed me to adjust my driving accordingly until the issues were identified and resolved. It was a god send while fault finding to. Without it I'm sure damage would have occurred. Knowing your oil temp is up to temperature before you start to push it is very handy and probably just as important as it not running hot. Again, without my gauge I would have had no way of knowing that my oil Temp on track had reached 138DegC!!!! until it was too late. Thats how I knew I had to fit a cooler and how I monitor how effective the set up is. If you don't want them on display, hide them in the cubby hole. I have one in there but you can easily fit 2 and maybe 3 in there if you wanted. Just something for you to bare in mind.
  9. Sam, can I come see you next time on my way to Lincoln? Hmmm...........May I ask why??? Can't see a problem with that, send me a PM and I'll give you my address.

  11. Good post Adrian. Its already quite informative. Let me know if I can help at all. If I can, I will. Regarding the oil feed to your vortech - does it have the brass nozzle/Jet or is it stainless steel? If it is the brass one I would highly recommend getting the up-rated Stainless steel one as the Brass ones can crack. If it does you will run your charger dry and loose all your engine oil! Luckily I noticed mine had a crack in it and was weeping while I was giving the car a service and caught it before it failed. Stainless ones available from Superchargersonline.com
  12. I saw the title of the thread and who started it and assumed Dave had finally seen BBK topless........
  13. Congrats on the purchase. Let us know how you get on with the install.
  14. Just to give you a ROUGH idea, my car with the standard vortech set up, vortech fuelling and split second box for tuning was approx 370hp/300 lbft @hubs.
  15. I have not checked the forum properly to see if its been done b4 but quite a few of us want to see a table/chart or whatever it;s called:) It will give the people who boast big numbers to show those of us who don't believe them, that they are not telling porkies:) The old forum format had a garage area with a dyno results table and a separate area to list all your modifications. I think it worked really well but it seems to have gone since the change over. Mods- are there any plans to resurrect the garage function? did the info from it get saved anywhere or would we have start from scratch.
  16. I don't think the idea of this particular thread is to list all mods and boast about power figures, more about how many FI zeds we have on the forum, and to monitor engine longevity. Good idea really. Wizard - maybe you could keep an updated list on your opening post so the list doesn't get lost amongst the gossip?
