  1. Got the same prob on the same side on my 05 zed. When I get the time I'll try sorting it. Been told to lift off the 3 plastic covers on the top (visable after opening boot) Unsrcrew unit from car Pull away slowly out of car to get to bulbs but put masking tape round the light unit/bumper area to prevent chips when removing the housing. Like I said not done it myself yet but just passing the tips on.
  2. My LMGT-4s are used all year round. Zed is a daily driver. Gone through 2 winters so far and not a blemish. 2 other zed owners assured me it would be OK if I followed their regime so I took gamble and left them on. However I wash them very gently weekly, gently agitating brake dust off using a microfibre in one hand and holding a hose in the other providing a constant flow of clean water. Then finish with normal car shampoo for a final once over again using a microfibrebefore rinsing and drying with a leafblower. I apply Chemical Guys wheel sealant every 2-3 weeks so normally they are 99% clean after the prewash but shampoo just to be sure If I'm really short on time and can't do a full seal I just use TurtleWax Glossgaurd on the lips and face. Goes on real quick with a MF applicator (just like an alcohol wipe) and can be buffed off almost immediately. Sometimes I'll leave the bodywork dirty and just do the wheels as a priority. Some people on detailing forums think it excessive to seal so often but this is what others told me works for them and seems to be working for me. Basically I reckon you have to wash the rims more gently than the body coz of the abrasive nature of brake dust.
  3. In 1996 I had an E reg Nissan sunny 1.3. Worth bugger all but spent thousands on ICE. Two amps 15inch sub MD headunit (all the rage back then ) Boot changer etc Young toe rags broke into broke into it TWICE in one month but only took CD's from the glove box first time and rumaged around the glove box the 2nd (but nothing there to nick that time). Little did they know that if they had just bothered looking in the boot it would be worthwhile
  4. There's a primary school near my work and the kids love my sunset zed but not all of them know what it is. Little kid waved at me as I was locking up early and said to his dad "THAT'S THE GUY WITH THE ORANGE LAMBORGHINI"
  5. DAMN! Got me in tears of laughter
  6. You'll need a new user name now Even after 4yrs ownership I sometimes catch myself sitting in the living room admiring the zed on the drive through the window trapped in a trance like state
  7. I've always wanted to capture the magic of SUNSET ORANGE in pics.......alas my little compact can get owhere near to your prized pics. As a fellow sunsetter I salute you
  8. Refer to the 350 as "DIE LOW" to the wife This is Cantonese for BIG BROTHER as our other car is a MINI
  9. Thanks for the welcome. Being a new member to the forum is a nightmare...........TOO MANY NEW THREADS TO READ THROUGH Having a 16wk old baby means never going to have time to read them all. You guys ('n gals) have some mighty fine machines on here. I may not post alot but rest assured I will be in the background reading about all YOUR exploits.
  10. Was invited to pop in and say hello by STEW on detailing world. Bought my zed in '05 and plan to keep it til the world runs out of petrol ....even then might just keep it to decorate the driveway.
