    BBS Alloys!?

seems to be mrore a european car thing now although there were lots of sets of old lm's filtering over on imports a while ago. Rays or Volk seem to be jap wheel porn I think i saw some z's running 19" bbs's using google images a while back
  2. You've clearly missed the point mate. I already have a deal with a trader set up, signed and agreed to that i buy a car from them and they take the z as trade in. I was just offering the z on here first as the trader will no doubt add a mark up. The traders i have spoke with about buying cars off them and using the z as trade in have all refered to a guide price and said they would be able to give me in the region of 13.5-14 , this 14.5 however is above average, i realise that, hence i agreed a deal. A couple of other dealers said that they'd give a better price for the z if they hadn't reduced the price of the vehicle tey were selling so much, it all comes down the the amount they want to make off the cars i suppose. Mods can you please lock/delete this thread.
  3. very true, i thought similar so gave a deposit (refunable if not satisfied witht he car) to secure the deal with the arrangement of finalising it this weekend when they have the car in and have seviced and valleted it for me.
  4. i think they want rid of their a3 then!
  5. monday bump - revised price as it'll be traded in this coming weeekend if not sold
  6. dont use halfords use a specialist auto paints shop. One in most large towns and they;ll find the correct colour and advise the correct type of paint
  7. Thank you for looking, dont worry about it
  8. the buddy club rail isnt cheap, but its a very nice bit of kit. I see alot of seats and raisl in my job (i design interior trim for cars) and i was impressed with just how compact it is. I got mine from a chap on here that had never used his so i dont know the new price, have a look around for buddy club super low seat rail
  9. Thank you for looking, dont worry about it
  10. Yeah it'd be nice! Nissan filled the space with glove box and speaker's etc and i think the bulkhead is higher on the real car as the show car looks to be on a non production chassis
  11. That's because the rear strut brace was an after thought that came through necessity I believe. The boot was never supposed to be split in two but it became apparent during pre-manufacture testing that a rear strut would be required. Someone correct me if I’m wrong…………….. no problem.... the strut brace was present in the concept car released in 2001 at the detroit show (see link http://www.allsportauto.com/english/nissan_z_concept_car.php) At this stage of the project engineering have little or no input into the chassis dynamics and no opportunity to test what was proposed. The concept was designed and created by Nissan North America and providing they function like Nissan Design Europe the styling studio is responsible for the design and creation of concept vehicle's, usually using outsourced suppliers to make it a reality. So the strutbrace was part of the styling theme and its no supprise when they came to put a strut brace under the plastic mouldings they had to allow some extra thickness to pakcage it. Whats left is a pretty rubbish boot but it does for most day to day items
  12. Nice! good to see one in that colour - loses the old man image a bit! Is that the 5.0 supercharged engine like the RR sport cos one of those stayed on my bumper till '70' recently it must be like a rociketship in that platform!
