  1. Congrats and welcome from another Andy On a side note.......on black paint I can't recommend Soft99 Scratch Clear Wax highly enough. Check how I used it removed the swirls on my mates scratched up black Range Rover here....... http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=377859
  2. Thanks again guys for the kind comments
  3. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=377859 Here's a link to me helping a friend whose black car drove against roadside hedges. Whole side was buggered. Front door untreated. Passenger door treated. I can't get photobucket to embed my vids here?
  4. Yep, thanks.....that's my sunset. Just back from L&G myself. Can't fault their service. Been using them 8 years now. With zeds a bit long in the tooth, not many will be going to Nissan for anything. So the guys at L&G will be ALOT more used to working on Zeds than most if not all techs at Nissan.
  5. Alas I haveto pick up kids from school at 3.30pm before I collect my zed otherwise I would have popped down at 3.30 too to say hello. It was nice meeting your zed at least
  6. On one visit to L&G I bumped into 2 forum members and their zeds. We kinda had a mini meet while L&G sorted out the zeds
  7. Having a service done and don't recall having the fuel filter being replaced for a while. Anyone know if or how often they should be replaced? Many thanks.
  8. Dropped my Zed off this morning for service and MOT. Saw your zed in having some work done. Nice to know another member has found L&G.
  9. I ran a Honda that used a litre every 1000miles for 3 yrs. Topped it up every 250 miles. Gave it to my bro when I got the zed and it ran ok another year. He sold it to a guy from Latvia who wanted to DRIVE IT BACK TO LATVIA. We told him it burns oil and to top up regularly. He'd need to carry about a boot full of oil for the journey But I bet the car made it!
  10. All the best with the new baby and the Range Rover. Selling is not a reason to leave the OC though. Feel free to hang around and even start a thread on your new ride
  11. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=377637 Can't link the vid properly:( So here's the DW post

Prima Amigo on a DA with a finishing pad didn't shift it. SRP with a finishing pad didn't work. Ultrafine Menz polish on a finishing pad didn't get me happy. Didn't have the guts to go any more abrasive. Anyway here is a vid of a 50:50 with the Soft99 on the right and untreated on the left. Stuff feels like cream. Worked GENTLY for 1 minute with a MF. Easy peasy!
  13. Congratulations. Forget the nappy........the first time I had to put the baby in a babygrow I was like HOW THE HELL AM I GONNA GET HER IN THAT WITHOUT DAMAGING AN ARM OR LEG!
  14. Oooooo......."overnight parts from Japan!" I took delivery of Soft99 Scratch Clear Wax on Tuesday. Can't beat Japanese writing on a tin for added awesomeness
  15. Will be looking forward to pics of your zed when you find the right one.
  16. Was nice to cross paths and exchange a friendly wave
  17. When I ordered my 05 zed from the dealership I chose the Nismo Aero Kit. 4 Nismo stickers were handed to me along with the keys so I suppose that washow it was "meant" to leave the factory. So I suppose a zed with just a Nismo kit on could wear Nismo stickers with pride.
  18. Got a puncture. Used it as an excuse to remove my 19' Nismos to give them a thorough decon and later put Gtechniq C5. So dug out my standard 18s to use while awaiting delivery of a new tyre from Oponeo. Guess what.......apart from needing spacers I forgot how handsome they were. A nice simple clean design that looks less fussy than the optional 18' Rays. Albeit they are nowhere as light or good as the Rays I actually really like them ( not quite as much as the LMGT4s mind ) Anyone else a fan?
  19. The 19' Nismo LMGT4 rims can fetch around £1200 when sold separately. Standard 18s can normally be had for about £200. If people aren't biting at your advertised price and you had the time it might be worth selling off the rims separately.
  20. Castrol Edge on offer at Costco til 24/4 £25.90 4 litres
  21. Maybe just as well. The money I save on oil I lose 10 times over when the missus geos shopping there
  22. Costco sale is on again 4/4/16 - 24/4/16
  23. Watch "SOFT99 "NEW SCRATCH CLEAR WAX" ã€SOFT99 TV】" on YouTube I've ordered this yesterday. Looks the biz. Time will tell. For me the swirls are around the tailgat where my hand opens and closes the boot. Tried SRP. Tried Prima Amigo. Lets see how this compares. Will post up my findings when it arrives.
  24. A belated welcome from another Andy based in South Manchester
