  1. I dug out Initial D last night. I'm fortunate to be able to understand Cantonese so watched it in the original dub. Loved the mix of action, comedy and emotion. I think Ronin may be the next dvd to be dust off and played. How about you?
  2. Birthday wishes from me too
  3. Always nice to hear of another Manchester member. Welcome to the world of Zed ownership. If you see a sunset orange zed commuting along Kingsway in Manchester it'll probably be me
  4. If you say you can't spare ANY extra time.......try Soft99 Scratch Clear Wax. Just substitute your SRP for this stuff. Apply like SRP with a MF short pile cloth until it goes clear. About 30-60 seconds. Then quick swipe to buff. Only £18 on eBay so worth a punt. I like it and it worked wonders on my Sunset and a black Range Rover. Here's a video of results. Left door swirl/Scratch city, right door treated by the Soft99 stuff in 5 minutes. http://vid272.photob...0422_135737.mp4
  5. Happy hunting on Tuesday. Hope to see pics of your new acquisition real soon.
  6. Welcome along. Your zed is looking mighty fine wearing it's Nismo suit.......very batmobile like
  7. Hi Ryan. I'm based in Manchester. I'm no expert in checking over prospective cars. Having owned my zed 11 years I can pass on what little i have come across andI have in the past taken a new member out to see what a good example feels and sounds like. Where abouts near Manchester are you?
  8. I've had Avon zz3 before and agree they do look tasty
  9. GLWTS It's amazing how well the Celica spoiler compliments the Do-luck kit on the Zed.
  10. Congrats on the new car and glad to see you didn't leave the Zed fold
  11. Wow.....the prices look as mouthwatering as the cars! If I was there I'd feel like a guy in an executive strip club with a pocket full of quarters instead of $100 bills
  12. Congrats and welcome from another Andy On a side note.......on black paint I can't recommend Soft99 Scratch Clear Wax highly enough. Check how I used it removed the swirls on my mates scratched up black Range Rover here....... http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=377859
  13. Thanks again guys for the kind comments
  14. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=377859 Here's a link to me helping a friend whose black car drove against roadside hedges. Whole side was buggered. Front door untreated. Passenger door treated. I can't get photobucket to embed my vids here?
  15. Yep, thanks.....that's my sunset. Just back from L&G myself. Can't fault their service. Been using them 8 years now. With zeds a bit long in the tooth, not many will be going to Nissan for anything. So the guys at L&G will be ALOT more used to working on Zeds than most if not all techs at Nissan.
  16. Alas I haveto pick up kids from school at 3.30pm before I collect my zed otherwise I would have popped down at 3.30 too to say hello. It was nice meeting your zed at least
  17. On one visit to L&G I bumped into 2 forum members and their zeds. We kinda had a mini meet while L&G sorted out the zeds
  18. Having a service done and don't recall having the fuel filter being replaced for a while. Anyone know if or how often they should be replaced? Many thanks.
  19. Dropped my Zed off this morning for service and MOT. Saw your zed in having some work done. Nice to know another member has found L&G.
  20. I ran a Honda that used a litre every 1000miles for 3 yrs. Topped it up every 250 miles. Gave it to my bro when I got the zed and it ran ok another year. He sold it to a guy from Latvia who wanted to DRIVE IT BACK TO LATVIA. We told him it burns oil and to top up regularly. He'd need to carry about a boot full of oil for the journey But I bet the car made it!
  21. All the best with the new baby and the Range Rover. Selling is not a reason to leave the OC though. Feel free to hang around and even start a thread on your new ride
  22. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=377637 Can't link the vid properly:( So here's the DW post
  23. <embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid272.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fjj181%2Fandyten%2FMobile%2520Uploads%2F20160418_015315_1.mp4&title=soft99%20scratch%20free%20wax"> Soft99 Scratch Clear Wax Got this off ebay for £18 Filler heavy wax/polish Got swirls on the tailgate of my car where I open and close the boot. Prima Amigo on a DA with a finishing pad didn't shift it. SRP with a finishing pad didn't work. Ultrafine Menz polish on a finishing pad didn't get me happy. Didn't have the guts to go any more abrasive. Anyway here is a vid of a 50:50 with the Soft99 on the right and untreated on the left. Stuff feels like cream. Worked GENTLY for 1 minute with a MF. Easy peasy!
  24. Congratulations. Forget the nappy........the first time I had to put the baby in a babygrow I was like HOW THE HELL AM I GONNA GET HER IN THAT WITHOUT DAMAGING AN ARM OR LEG!
