I promise my car will never be this dirty again,until the next time!

Well me and Doug (also a forum member) traveled to Oulton Park Friday (stayed up there Thursday night) and had a day on their tarmac rally stage. What an event. Could not believe how much fun we had. Was really good to know the limits of the car,and know what those limits feel like at relatively low speed. Then controlling the car within them limits. If you have the chance to go,then do it,you will not regret it. I was very nervous at first ( im very precious over my Datsun) but after half hour I was alot happier and started to play alot more. Me and Doug drove each others cars (mine with new 19' tyres,his with very worn 18") and the difference was very marked. You could feel the car just approaching understeer, then with a precise boot of throttle ,you could get the car swinging round nicely. The ever changing track was tricky at times,as we had random heavy and light rain,but the whole day was very enjoyable,and w both came away with new skills and experience. Just waiting for Alex to get his finger out with my ARB's now! Pictures will follow dont worry

Okey dokey,il not worry then. Any idea where i can get a rubber exhaust hanger from? One of mine is missing about half of it. Lol

My intial post said Camber,then i changed it to caster. Now thinking i was right the first time! Lol Cant get the pic up at the moment,but have the print out here at work. Right,the Toeing was out at the front and rear,and although the front camber is withing the spec from Nissan,its still not as good as it can be. The technician said that the tollerance on the camber is pretty large.

Cant see any evidence of it being in an accident no. Had full HPI check when i got it,and been under it and pulled it apart numerous times. Paint work is all original too.

What spec fronts did you go for,and are they worth it?

Nope,just got 19" wheels

By the way, Atomic Wheels are very good. Was shown all the ins and out,explained everything and was very satisfied with their work,also have the Hunter Hawk Eye kit. Great place for anyone in or around MK, as the only other place near by is Tyres Northampton,which is 30 minutes away.

Just had a full geo check done on my car at Atomic Wheels over the road from my house in Milton Keynes,just off junction 14. They have adjusted as much as possible, but the technician said that to get the caster within a decent spec,that I would need adjustable Front top wishbones. This will decrease the wear on the inner edges of my front tyres. Has anyone else come across this before, and is it something worth doing?

You havnt got a K+N typhoon fitted by any chance do you? Is the rest of the dash working?

Agree,i was hoping to see better pics of the Capri and the Chevette and the other rally cars. Its a McLaren Honda F1 car. Looks like MP4-6 or around there.

If im going through a 30 zone with no speed humps,il put it in 6th,and put the cruise control on. On my estate there are lots of speed ramps,so usually use 3rd or 4th.

You may struggle with the passenger side window, as it does not have a one touch operation like the drivers,though it may make no difference. Id love to get a one touch passenger window sorted

I have an Omega Sea Master. Iv always wanted a nice classy watch, and after i passed my probation at RB I treated myself to it. I personally like the engineering and the detail of nice watches,as I do on any piece that is well engineered and has good attention to detail. I had it serviced this year,and yes it was expensive,but at the same time, the place told me that it had appreciated in value by £400, and I could trade it in if I wanted to. Its all about what floats your boat at the end of the day. I wouldnt buy a TAG, but then thats me.

Would love to come and meet some new people,but im fully booked that weekend so wont be able to come. Sorry.

Nice, might have to take a pic tomorrow so we can have an Azure in a Garage off Detailing shed sounds good Bring it on! lol Hope to get it all clean and tidy in there, get a shed to put the gardening stuff in so its out of the garage.

Its a snug fit through the doors,but fits nicely in there. Got a new numberplate to go on,and when its abit emptier,it will be easy to park it in a way so that i can get all the way around it.

Well after we moved in back at the end of March,and had a really hard job getting the garage and the house clean and tidy, im so pleased that finally today I had cleared enough space and washed the floor so the Datsun could get in. Next stage is fully painted walls and floors,along with some decent lighting,and boarding the roof.

Went back to Autoglass yesterday to discuss the leak on my passenger window. When i picked the car up at the time,they explained that the previous owner had pretty much ruined the A pillar mounts,and the crack that has always been at the base of my passenger side A pillar cover is evidence of that. When I took it in yesterday,they covered the side of the car in water,and we couldnt find a leak. The Autoglass man took the whole seal off,and put it back on,so we shall see what happens now. Is it still possible to get new window seals? Autoglass man also suggested that if new seals dont work,then il need to replace the whole A pillar cover!!!!!!! Though i cant see what difference this will make
