  1. Iv got a throttle body for sale. Its had a clean up and looks pretty good, though may go abit further with it if i get a chance before it sells. Would obviously recommend doing a TB reset when this is fitted to make sure its all calibrated with the engine. Looking for £100 for it,but open to offers as these dont come up that often.
  2. Im in MK,but know nothing about bleeding brakes im afraid.

    Swift Detail beading

I ran out of time very quickly! But went over the car with some Finesse It on a soft correction pad,and then put some DDJ Hard Candy wax on it. Was a great wax to use. Did a quick trial, and ended up waxing the whole car then going round it and buffing it off. It was so easy. Went round the car with IPA after the polishing to remove any residue.
  4. Im sorry, but really dont agree that it was Grojean's fault,as Lewis should have seen that coming and either moved over onto the grass,or backed out of it. He was never going to pass Romain there. Im surprised Jenson won if im honest, but was a good race all the way back behind him. Vettel and Webber both did good from where they were on the first lap. Good effort to Hulkenberg too, good to see SFI getting some decent points.
  5. I worked at the Singapore GP in 2009,not a great race for us. Lol Fantastic place to go,people are really nice, facilities are fantatsic and we stayed at the Swisshotel Stamford, and I had a view of half the track from my balcony. Watching and hearing the AMG's pound round was a fantastic site and the noise was awesome. Great race to go to,you will all have a fantastic time.
  6. Iv got a lance and Magifoam, and have to say that its better than the previous foam i used. (was not Autobrite) I usually foam, then start to wash my wheels,by the time thats done,i blast the foam off,and find it does remove the dirt pretty well. Try leaving the foam to dwell abit longer,if its not scorching outside, you can leave it a good half hour
  7. Looks like a nice car to me. Also looks lowered, though could be the angle the pictures are taken at. Rear parking sensors are good, and looks like the exhaust is reasonably shiny by the look of it. Points to having had some care at some point.
  8. I actually like them. They make the car look more modern, and dare i say it, closer to the 370Z. (now running for cover)
  9. What a nut job! Fair play if he does do it, but wouldnt he be more loved and appreciated if he gave that amount of money (or even half of it) to charity? Maybe he already does, who knows. Clearly has more money than he knows what to do with.
  10. What an idiot! Glad that nobody else was seriously hurt, though thats no consolation to family of the guy who died. Obviously If he had been wearing his harness or seatbelt, then he would have had a much better chance of survival. What a waste of a great car too. Mr Pagani im sure will be devastated by the loss of life, as well as the loss of one of his creations.
  11. I did all of my discs and pads last year. Took me a while, mainly because I faffed abit and the caliper bolts were abit of a pain. If you have an extendible wheel brace, I found if you cut the cap off the rubber handle, a rachet handle sits nicely in the there,so you have a breaker bar. Makesure the caliper bolts are done up tight too, maybe put a small amount of weak thread locker (loctite or similar) on the treads. Its well worth the small amount of hassle though,as the sense of achievement is huge.

    Heart Broken!!!

Thats shocking whats happened to your wheel,im so sorry. If you can not source the wheel to replace the one that they ruined, then surely they need to sort you out a set of wheels. Thats what id push for anyway.
  13. I didnt deem it worthy of £7 to see it at the cinema,so il get it on Love Film when its out on DVD. Looks very funny though. RED is also a very good action film.
  14. Well im sad i know, but i was waiting for it to rain at home over night so i could see how the Swift was beading after its epic detail. Very well as it turns out.
  15. Not a fan of the front or the rear to be honest, but certainly a rare car. Wheels look pants too.
  16. If you saw the state of the inside,it was the only way to go. Found old McDonalds chips and all sorts. Plus it was only 4 bolts that are easy to access for the front, and the rear back is clipped in place, with the base held by some plastic clips. Loads of room inside there which helps.
  17. I got told off last night for spending time with her car instead of her!
  18. Aslong as its clean itl be fine. I hate my postman at the minute,as he came the side to deliver something that was too big to post, and when I went in the house, found that he had posted a full set of steel wheel nuts through the door onto my wood flooring. Dont understand why he didnt just give me everything in one go. He has to walk past my house and gates (that were open) to get to the end of my road.
  19. You could say that, spent 2.5 days on it. Its a great little car, really fun on the round abouts in MK when you just carry as much speed as you can and keep the engine above 5k.
  20. Please excuse the dirty car and the wrong coloured bulbs. New bulbs on the way
  21. If its been in a sealed bag then itl be fine,I wouldnt worry. Im sure some products are sat on shelves in warehouses for a long time before we even get them,so how do you factor in that 2 year shelf live? I could be wrong, but thats my opinion.
  22. Cheers. My Mrs says that im getting worse with the whole OCD thing. I finally locked the garage at 9.15 last night. This morning,i woke up at 6 with my mrs going to work, cleaned all the windows inside, and cleaned the floor mats before she took it to work at 7.20. Great fun,but when it looks as good as it does, then I dont mind,I also find it therapeutic.
  23. The past 6 months or so have seen the partners Swift Sport get used and abused,as there is no point or way im doing tip runs in the Datsun. As I had this week off,I said id give the little work horse some love. It was really minging inside and out,and hadnt even been cleaned for a few week, and i cant remember the last time i spent any longer than a couple of hours on it. So this was a wheels off detail, that turned into an interior out and nearly 30 hour job! Will try to get the pics in some sort of order. To start with, this little madam seems to have found a new spot for sleeping. Which is here! The car No pictures of the seats before they were cleaned im afraid, but they were filthy and had some juice stains on them from a leaky bottle, and after finding chips and crisps under the seats, decided it was best just to pull them all out. My driveway, looks like a bomb went off. Seats cleaned All back in and looking pretty darn good, that was day one. Though I was slightly delayed my a friend that rocked up in his Elise. Day 2 was pretty unproductive, due to rain and me chatting, but got he car washed and Iron X'd,along with the wheels, which had never been off to clean,so the backs were caked. I think I got a coat of wax on them before i called it a day too. Day 3 was a tough one,as wanted to get another coat of wax on the wheels, and need to clay and polish the car. Id let the mrs drive the 350 for the past 2 days, but Friday (today) i needed my car to head to Essex. Wheels waxed again, and tyres dressed with Finish Kare (brilliant dressing that lasts for ages on the tyres and you dont need to use much at all) Arches were dressed (which made more difference than id expected) and wheels were put back on so the car could be put in the garage for polishing. As i was up against it,i thought id use 3M Perfect It followed by some SRP before a coat of Hard Candy wax. As it turned out,I missed the SRP due to time (I finished the first polish at 6pm) The aim wasnt to fully correct the paint, as there were only a few light swirls apart from a couple of really deep scratches, and I was up against the clock. Just wanted to restore the finish abit and make the car really shine. Never used Hard Candy before, but found it an absolute pleasure to use. I have the Blue Velvet for the 350,and this was just as good. After finding out how easy if buffed off, I ended up waxing the entire car before buffing,to makesure the wax had enough time to cure off. Some of these pictures are before and some are after wax,but iv lost track now. Though the ones that still show day light are pre wax,the dark outside ones were post wax. Pictures from this morning, though not a sunny as id hoped.
  24. Ah right,so they are the manufacturer of the brakes, like Brembo on the 350.
