Sounds like the PS pump sh!ting itself but can't be sure without hearing it in person. Don't let the PS fluid run low mate! Worst case I have a pump too

No they don't skip and seem to be bulletproof. Had one guy have a cd jam I had to fix but that's it. I have 2 New internal disc changers in the loft just in case I ever get one that cannot be repaired

The PS oil cooler is alloy and corrodes. I have replaced a few before mate!
