  2. You make some solid points about Nissan's missed opportunities - they really should have capitalized on their early EV lead with the Leaf instead of letting Chinese companies eat their lunch. It's wild how Xiaomi went from phones to selling 300k cars in basically no time, while legacy automakers are still figuring things out. The sports car segment is definitely tough right now, but Toyota's showing it can still work if you price things right and keep the enthusiast community engaged. Nissan's problem seems to be they're stuck in the middle - not fully committed to EVs like Tesla or BYD, but also not doubling down on ICE performance like some others. The new CEO has a massive job ahead trying to turn things around, especially with their market share bleeding to Chinese brands. You're probably right that we'll see more compact EVs from them, but they need something distinctive to stand out in an increasingly crowded market. At this point they need to pick a lane and execute really well, because half-measures aren't cutting it anymore.
  3. The guy that came in and started selling stuff? What happened to Chris down south? And was it Bob? What about Lomas? With the Sunset Zed I think?
  4. Hi Sarnie, as you know I've seen you on PH ... and I still monitor here now and again.
  5. Nah, I don't think so, can't remember his name. Anybody? Or do you mean Adrian?
  6. Wow, still going, well done you!! Sounds like you are doing well, nice one! Is that Romanian guy still around?
  7. Well, Well, Well, what a nice surprise, Great to have you back Liam. Yes, I am still here, helping members out when I can, but not on the same scale as the good old days, what a blast they were, miss them. More into GTR R35s and prestige stuff these days, but a completely different ball game and people with a completely different mindset. I still have my track 350 and also my R35, but mostly use the truck as my daily. Hope that you and the family are well and are all enjoying life. Alex.
  8. They were great days! What happened to Welsh Ian, think he had a modified GM Zed? There was a blonde woman with a black GT4 too? Anyone remember Dorian? Think he had a supercharged Zed from very early? ZMANALEX too? Liam Williams from Liverpool with a Kuro Zed. I remember getting myself a driving ban after speeding on the M6 to a meet in Chester!!
  9. Oh man a blast from the glory days of the forum. Wish it was still like that. Where does everyone post Zed stuff these days? facebook?
  10. How low do you have to be on fuel for it to be an issue?
  11. I've heard before of people talking about the cars being a bit kangaroo-like, especially at low revs in traffic etc, I think an uprev map is known to fix it somewhat. I definitely remember it from when I first got my car, but whether I've gotten used to it and don't notice it, or my uprev tune fixed it I don't really know. Read the comments, especially the last one, on this thread -
  12. Shortly after my visit to HDev I attended JapFest and had a short blast on track- the car feels great in the straights however a couple issues are still prevelent and I ran into a problem I found out about after being on track - the 370z's fuel surge issue I went out there with just under a half tank - meaning on the RH turns the fuel pump was being starved. Seen the kits go for £800+ so I doubt I'll be fitting one anytime soon and will just top up my tank before going out on track from now on. I also am still experiencing some wheel wobble at speed and harsher wobble under acceleration. I'm plan to lower the front suspension a tad for better fitment and then get an alignment and start looking into swapping out a lot of my brake parts.
  13. I've had my 350z HR for about 6 months now and while I drive it daily it's always seemed to really struggle in slow moving traffic, when applying light throttle to speed up slightly it seems to jerk/bog down at around 1500-1800 rpm and lurch down to 1200ish before continuing as normal, now I can kind of drive around this (going to 2500/3000 in 1st gear and when I get in to second it's above the rpm range that causes the issue) Now this only occurs when hot, on a cold start in a morning the first 5-10 minutes are problem free which leads me to believe this is either an issue with the engine map (I believe it is just the factory tune)/some kind of sensor (I know the crank position sensor can be faulty on there, or maybe a MAF sensor problem) Done a tonne of research into this and found varying reasons this could be occuring such as electrical issues (fixed with a grounding kit), dirty throttle bodies (have had the intake tubes off and the were fine), but as I've said previosly this is only happening when the engine is up to temp. The only other things I can think of are maybe the spark plugs/coils are struggling to ignite the air/fuel mixture, has anyone else had experience with this problem and managed to find a fix? I'm more than happy to throw a few hundred quid at this but want to make sure I start in the right place. Thanks, Luke

    Next Chapter

Tasty, nice choice. Love the colour. I want a green car next.
  18. Hi @Gudzy I now have your car mate, this is crazy.. it was listed on Copart not so long ago. I have no details about the car. Please drop me a call or message on REDACTED to talk about this as I’m really interested to hear how you got on with it!!
  19. Personally, I'd just rent it yourself and drive it rather than going on an organised tour, there's a couple of companies - this is the one I used, had the GR Yaris RZ Performance (JP only trim) on Bilstein's from them and they were great. Went over the mileage by a considerable amount as we took it up Mount Fuji (in the snow lol) and they didn't even care. https://www.carrental-tokyo.jp/en/car/ Not a huge range of cars but got a 34 GTR, a couple of 35's and a few other bits. These guys are a lot bigger but I remember at the time had a minimum age of 23 or 25 and I think I was 22. https://www.omoren.com/en/ Definitely recommend it though, Tokyo is so packed that it's nice to get in a decent car and go for a drive, especially around the Mt Fuji area. I feel like the tour would take away from the experience where you'd basically be getting told what to do for hours on end and following a big group of people.
  20. Spotted your car whilst walking around – the bronze on blue is 😙👌
  21. I was on the WestCoast JDM stand. I managed to catch up with Humpy and Andy. Didn't manage to see anyone else. 😢Hope everyone had a great day. Personally I think that show is better than Japfest.
  22. Results - I've included both the power graph and the air/fuel - boost graph too Overall it meets my original expectation from when I first bought the car around mid-4s, still very strong numbers out of this kit 467 isn't bad at all and I will be back to Hdev at some point with goals to climb towards the mid-5s Overall the power looks to be super linear and the torque curve looks nice and flat which is definitely a positive for how I intend to drive the car
  23. Theres been blue convertibles for sale in the past. They sit a couple of weeks then sell. But they're not common
  24. Dear all, I hope this message finds you well. I've been experiencing a few issues with my 350Z over the past three months and would appreciate your advice to ensure I’m not overlooking anything. Firstly, I’ve noticed a squeaking noise when pressing the gas pedal. It sounds similar to a belt squeak. I previously had a belt squeal issue, which seemed to disappear as the weather warmed up. I’ve already ordered a new set of belts for replacement, but I wanted to ask if there’s anything else I should check that could be causing this noise. Additionally, I sometimes struggle to shift into 1st gear. I’ve also noticed that after about 10 minutes of driving, the clutch pedal begins to squeak — especially towards the end of the pedal travel. Interestingly, if I press the clutch quickly or with more force, the noise seems to stop. I’ve read through some forums and ordered a white lithium grease spray to address this. I also have an appointment scheduled for rust repair on 09/06/2025, and I’d like to address all issues during that visit if possible. I've truly enjoyed driving my Z since I bought it six months ago — it’s a 2003 import with just under 54k miles. Thank you very much in advance for your help and any suggestions you may have!
  25. They were great days! The Zed was my first performance car, loved my UY GT4!!! Good to see some familiar names!!
