TomLum Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 So I had the Zed for a couple of years but fancied a change. Its was a beautiful Z with 45k on the clock. Always loved the look of the E92 and with performance and economy of the 335 I decided to go for it! So far I love it. Its got all the toys and with the twin turbos it feels quicker then the Zed, its just missing the noise of the GTR pipe I had on! Soon to go in for a remap that will take it to 350bhp and 700nm And just to rub it in im averaging 45mpg All comments/questions are welcome 2 Quote
tatooandy67 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Lucky man, out of one nice car into another nice car I guess Xmas came early this year Quote
GIXXERUK Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 exactly the same as the one i use (which has a remap), even the same colour, get it mapped, you will be impressed Quote
Zeezeebaba Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) Let the high garage bills commence (only joking the 335d is a solid car), I'm coming the other way from bmw to nissan.Lovely looking car mate. Edited October 5, 2014 by Zeezeebaba Quote
TomLum Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Thanks for the nice comments! I agree I'm abit worried about garage bills encase anything does go wrong as EVERYTHING is electronic and has a sensor. It even passes you your seatbelt when you get in :O miss the noise and drama of the Zed but the BMW feels solid and just more refined. Only time will tell! Quote
GMballistic Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) ^^ The seat belt thing Tom is a nice touch ~ my old mans BM does the same thing. You just need to learn how to tailgate people now and inappropriately undertake on motorways & you'll be a fully fledged BMW owner. Edited October 5, 2014 by GMballistic 3 Quote
JEMAN Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Congrates on a fantastic motor......lovin the BMW, they aren't called bemers for nothing.......because that's going to be on your face every time you drive it....ENJOY......but sad the Z has gone Quote
Stutopia Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 You find a forum for these or a decent online buying guide? My mate's about to pull the trigger on a 320D and I'm trying to convince him that the 335D is the way to go. Quote
Zeezeebaba Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I was led to believe Audi has recently taken the tailgating title from BMW 1 Quote
Rock_Steady Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Lovely car, my dad currently has an E90 330dM with a re-map ( its brutal ) E92 325 coupe convertible. Really nice car to drive and a great choice . Hopefully this model of the 335d has less problems than that of the E91 model. 1 Quote

docwra Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Soon to go in for a remap that will take it to 350bhp and 700nm A freind of mine has this map on an E90 335d, he reckons its quicker than his 500hp RB26DETT 200SX. Good work that man. Quote

TomLum Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 are all 335d autos? Yes it only comes in an auto. Although it's tiptronic so can drive manual with the flappy paddles or knocking the gear stick forward/backwards Quote
Kev Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 My mate had a 330d manual assumed you could get a 335d too. Weird that you can't. Quote
bamdc2 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) Have wondered what a 335d is like to drive. Always thought that these sorts of cars would be too clinical and wont feel like a 'drivers' car. Masses of torque and great mpg for the performance but feels a little dull and doesnt sound that great. Dont park it in a multistory car park, you will lose it in amongst all the other BMW's!!
