grahamc Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Well the purchase has gone through and the car is going to be shipped in the next few weeks, so figured it was time to put up a bit of a teaser of my new project. Still waiting for a shipping date. Wanted one of these for quite some time now, along with a couple of others (hopefully more on these a little later)........... Not sure what I am going to do with it, but it will be a fun little toy Will need a few mods to get it road legal over here, but has just gone through a bare metal restore and is currently running a Sierra 2.0l engine. 7 Quote

Wasso Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Nice toy! I had a MkII as my first car, 1.3 Ghia, running twin weber from a 1.6, exhaust, K&N, rims and was a great car. I loved the way you could take the car apart with a philips screwdriver. Quote

grahamc Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 "For the love of cars".... started out with an original mexico and wanted to do a rally rep, but not right for a mexico.... this one is not that, so rally rep would be cool Will be a slow project, as I am away for 4 weeks and technically looking for a 2nd car to import with this one - save a lot on shipping! 2 Quote

Not sure, get it here and see what its like is step 1, but the brakes sounds like a rather good place to start! Honestly dont know much about these cars, so it will also be a bit of a learning experience. Coming from South Africa Quote
