Mopedmark Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 along Mike there are plenty of traders one of them will tell out hey have them pretty soon Quote
DoogyRev Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Congrats PM one of the traders for new, or you can get them re-gassed I think Quote
fairladyz2013 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Welcome I had the same with the struts.. Replaced mine with sgs engineering ones for I think £50-£60's. Quote
richard.hezlett Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Welcome Mike. sgs-engineering.com provide struts which get excellent reviews here. Most people go for the unrated version for the small difference in price. Quote
richard.hezlett Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Sorry. Last post should read updated not unrated. Lol 1 Quote
Mike k-g Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 Many thanks to all for info. will look at sgs. Mike Quote
Ebized Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Removing the counter weight is a no-cost option, you might wish to try first see pic/advice here: http://www.350z-uk.c...ight-too-heavy/ If you have a larger than standard spoiler on the bootlid that will cause the problem and the weight removal is really a must, but we have seen enough posts to know the struts get tired and either replacement or re-gas should do the trick. Sam Mcgoo Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Welcome to the club. I also recommend SGS struts. Have them fitted to mine and have been great. Quote

My boot struts dont hold the boot up and I do have a heavy spoiler on it... never realized you could remove the weights.... That link and every link I have googled for some reason says I do not have permission to view the page.... is it in a secret forum or something!? Quote
14N Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Congrats on the purchase Mike. Good to have another Midlands member Quote
bamdc2 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Welcome! SGS shipped mine super fast, got them next day. Just get some mates to help you fit them as the boot weighs about 7 tonnes when you remove the struts!! Quote
