Ricey Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Bet his car blew up in a ball of flames after putting a mere 95ron in it Quote
Grundy Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 There must be so many Zeds running on that stuff. Quote
leonk Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) Ran mine on old cooking fat and used paint thinners, but don't tell Wizurd. Edited December 4, 2013 by leonk 1 Quote

mouthwash Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Bet his car blew up in a ball of flames after putting a mere 95ron in it Wasn't there a thread around here somewhere showing the damage done to the engine when running on 95ron? I'm not sure what the manufacturer recommends, being a man I don't tend to go near manuals telling me what to do. Quote
370Ad Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 It could have been mapped on 95.... probably not though! Quote
HaydnH Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Maybe he cleaned his car yesterday but had some great fun driving on that day? 1 Quote
350zedd Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Spare a thought for the poor bu88ers like me on the look out for one ! No way of telling its been abused. Thats why I'm stretching myself for an HR Quote
Arran Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 A hr wont matter if it's had the wrong fuel in it. This is why I keep all my petrol receipts so i can prove its had proper fuel Quote
WhackyWill Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Only run mine on Tesco Momentum 99, previous owner was a member on here and ran it on Shell. I would dare run my Zed in that condition. Give it a wash.. :surrender: Quote

This is why I keep all my petrol receipts so i can prove its had proper fuel I thought the HR engine had twin knock sensors to detect detonation caused by low octane fuel and adjust the ignition timing to suit ? 2 Quote
Arran Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Still shouldn't be run on anything less than 98 knock sensors or not. Its not like its a massive increase in price in every tank a few £ 1 Quote

Jp606 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I also keep all my fuel receipts, so a future buyer has proof of what has been used in it. Quote
14N Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Looks a similar state to mine and Wasso's cars when we finally arrived at the recent Salisbury meet. Both cars were cleaned the day before. Sorry, Wasso's was 'detailed' the day before. As HaydnH said, maybe they've just spent a fun day in it And credit where credit's due..... At least they've got a stubby 1 Quote
GMballistic Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 ^^ Are you sure that's a stubby aerial 14N?! On my laptop it looks more like one of those aerials that is fat at the base & then thins out half way up. Might be wrong though as my eyes are 34 years old. Quote
14N Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 GM's right. I am wrong. It isn't a stubby. Gonna crawl back under my rock now Quote
mattross1313 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Gonna crawl back under my rock now Quote
r37 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 mines looked worse, the lanes round where i live are horrendous. My Rear wheels are flush with the wheel arch so they tend to throw mud and stuff up the back nicely. Quote
Humpy Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) GM's right. I am wrong. It isn't a stubby. Gonna crawl back under my rock now No subby = Not a member on here or they are so new to the world of Zed that they have not yet been initiated into Zeditis. Filthy car and hope it gets a deserved clean Edited December 4, 2013 by Humpy Quote
ilogikal1 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 No subby = Not a member on here or they are so new to the world of Zed that they have not yet been initiated into Zeditis. So which one am I then? Quote
