Ebized Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Biggest drawback with LHD, in my experience, is when you are on your own and arrive at form of controlled entrance (tolls/car parks etc) and either give yourself a hernia trying to reach across through the open passenger window or have to squeeze your way out and sprint round and back to pay the charges/get the ticket and get going before the barrier comes back down. Seriously, when it is pouring with rain you will curse it till the cows come home 1 Quote
LRF4N Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 I never thought of that with LHD cars. Oh well that's the camaro off the list for me Quote
Jay Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 OR just get one of the grabber type things that my mate has for his stang. No need to worry about getting a hernia. ewan221 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Another reason to go TVR if you want big V8 :-) It's a cracking day here and I'm missing the roof down V8 rumble Quote
beetleben Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 I'd love a 60's mustang one day but the new ones are very plastic inside but as for lhd I never found it a problem, mind you I did try an get it the wrong side a few times Quote
saiper Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 I got to drive a similar car when I was in Vegas a few months ago. Fantastic looks and sound, but cornered like a mobile library, Quote
Ewan27 Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 I spoke to the guy on the phone last night. After probing he admitted this a category C, in which case makes the car overpriced in my opinion. The fact he didn't state this fact in the advert makes me wary about else he might be hiding. Quote

He has now removed the "light damage" text from the description completely! Unfortunately I'll be giving this one a miss, but if anyone sees a Mustang up for sale give me a PM! Thanks for all your input Quote
Lexx Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 What's your budget? Jurgen at JM-Imports has recently started imported US vehicles. Based on his success with JDM cars, they should be top notch. Newera Imports would also be worth a shout. Quote

Max would be £13K, but it all depends what I can get for my Yellow GT4 which I'm going to be listing on here very soon. Would you advise I send them a PM? Quote
Lexx Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Give jurgen a call or email (number on their website) and see what he can do. 1 Quote

KyleR Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Isn't the new 'Stang coming out over here in RHD? Save up enough to buy it plus an extra 5-6k to swap the engine out for a real one Quote
Lexx Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Yeah, but the UK mustang will only have the engine out of a Focus ST. Quote
