JetSet Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Caroline went down with it last night. At first we thought it was food poisoning but when I looked it up I realised it was the dreaded Norovirus. Dreadful thing, just hoping I'm immune . Pete Quote
DoogyRev Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Hope you evade it, and I hope your wife gets better soon Quote
RobPhoboS Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 My mate got it a couple of days ago, properly evil so I'm told Stick your wife in the shed. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 its to late you'll already have it. only way to avoid it now is burn the house down. Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 So glad I hardly ever get ill! Quote
ewan221 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 34 staff got it in the hospital I work in last year. If you are in vicinity of someone who is sick the chances are you will get it as the virus is aerosolised. If you manage to keep well clear of the spew and make sure you contstantly was hands and keep surfaces wiped down you can probably avoid. Quote
JetSet Posted December 29, 2012 Author Posted December 29, 2012 prepare to puke, no one is imune Oh great! Thanks for cheering me up . Pete Quote
Dblock Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 So glad I hardly ever get ill! Sounds cocky. I think you should turn up to BBK's house and spread your germs. Quote
leonk Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 So glad I hardly ever get ill! You'd need social contact for that so you'll be fine Quote

Also people who have it need to ensure that they close the toilet lid before flushing as the flush causes it to spray into the air. Alcohol hand cleaner is ineffective but normal hand soap will kill it. Quote

Alcohol sanitizers will not flush the germs away but soap and hot water will. Then you can pick up a fresh batch of the bacteria when you reach for the tap to shut it off followed by the door handle of the loo! Edited December 29, 2012 by scubapics Quote

Cheers Chris, The worst of it is over thankfully. Of the seven people we had here on XMas day five have gone down with it. Only myself and my daughter remain healthy (up to now). If Annie has had it then she has my full sympathy Pete Quote
