FUG Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I don't know how many of you are avid golfers but with the Ryder Cup coming up this week can't help thinking will it be Europe or USA?! The teams both look strong, would be nice for Europe to retain the trophy but on foreign soils could be a tough one?! Quote
Ekona Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I suspect the Yanks are going to nick it. Just got that feeling. Quote
maxi-glasgow Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Think the yanks will be a good thing on home soil. Quote
FUG Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 I wonder if Tiger will produce some of his old magic hmmmm Quote
chettle Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I think Europe should smash it, got some great in form players all fighting at the top of the rankings! Moneys on Lee for top point scorer for us too! Quote
stanzed Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 The Yank crowds certainly wont do us any favours with with gung ho chanting..... U S A U S A Quote
FUG Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 speaking of golf has anybody ever managed to get 2 sets of golf clubs in the boot of the zed as claimed on the instruction sticker on inside of the bootlid??? Quote
rothers2901 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 speaking of golf has anybody ever managed to get 2 sets of golf clubs in the boot of the zed as claimed on the instruction sticker on inside of the bootlid??? Absolutely dead easy. 2 x Tour bags and 2 x weekend bags. Quote
brumjohn Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Have managed 2 stand bags but amazed you got 2 tour bags. Have had to resort to carrying at "away" courses though as 1 trolleybag and a powercaddy needs to involve the passenger seat......unless anyone else has had any success? This should be a cracking competition, 24 of the worlds top 35 apparently! Whilst i think it will be v.close, i think the home crowd and the ability to set the course up to favour some of their bigger hitters will just give them the edge. Nevertheless it always produces some memorable moments and will be great TV Quote
glrnet Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Not a golfer personally but is certainly a spectacle not to be missed for me every 2 years Quote
Stew Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I've managed two stand bags and all the gubbins for 2 (shoes, spare clothes etc) easily in the Zed. Quote
docwra Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Tour bag, stand bag, two trolleys and associated shoes and waterproofs, easy Going to be a good one this year, I think the Europeans will take the lead early but choke like **** on the last day, leaving the yanks winnign by 1/2 pt. We must have the best ranked European Ryder Cup team of all time though, surely? Quote

chettle Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Well Westwood is WAY off his best, but the yanks are playing some brilliant golf! Mickelson is playing better than he was 10 years ago!!! Quote
