These are really big in the States and I reckon they will soon catch on over here B)

Perfect for car maintenance enthusiasts, fantastic design. Unlike the big clumsy metal fabricated ramps these are extremely lightweight so easy to manuever and transport.

...about Race Ramps

Yeah, we're lightweights

Our ramps are made out of a high density "space age" foam - 100% solid, yet weighing only around 15lbs each. That's about 2 gallons of milk - or about 2.5 gallons of gas.

Not slippery when wet. Or Dry. Or on ice

Race Ramps are coated with a subtle rubber anti-skid texture. Since they're also totally solid, the entire bottom surface gets grip. You won't be going anywhere soon.

We take a solid, enduring slant on things

They won't gouge your floor, they won't sink in sand. They won't rust, and you can leave them outside to brave the elements. Even when you overload them, their 100% solid core will still be there to protect you.

The 40" Race Ramps start from £200 bigger sizes available and different solutions

I'm with Tom on this one Chris :surrender:

I do like them but for the price I'll stick with my DIY wooden planks  I looked around for a while for ramps when I needed some and it was a toss up between some £50~ metal ones or DIY.

Hmmm, the only advantage really is the weight saving as they do the same job as normal ramps, but as most people I would suspect have much cheaper alternatives and they are stored at home can't really see the benefit of these unless you need to transport them around. Sorry!

they look alot easier to drive on and off.

for anyone who has never tried driving up metal ramps you need balls. they are quiet steep and i've always worried about going over the edge. especially as most are made for cars with normal width tyres, so anything wide goes over either edge, and does mean the stopper on metal ones aren;t as effective.

the foam ones look alot more user friendly. especially for wider wheel setups.

shame they aren't cheaper.

good find tarmac, and good luck with sales

i dont mean to hijack tarmacs thread but to the people who want these but dont want to pay 200 then try these, ive used them quite a few times on my zed and have been a big help, even had my zed on them for a week and they never budged. Great price too, not sure if a lowered zed would be able to use them on their own though.

Certainly a lot better price,

The race ramps are going to be more specialised and I doubt I will sell many if any but you never know. They are a great idea and if a 1/4 of the price then I'm sure would sell bucket loads.

Great to see the feedback good and bad, cheers for the comments guys

If I had £200 I would have a set.

Because you wont get them cheaper in UK?

I don't know why but my car is OEM and wont drive up the standard Halford lumps of metal that we all love to hate.

Surely it cant be because I went from 225/45/18 on the front to 245/35/18?

Those yellow ones look to short to me?

  • 3 weeks later...

Now these are a decent price and i am sure would be a good seller. not quite as long but mine will go up it!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180820203440? ... 1423.l2649

get these and i will buy a set!

Once again though the postage is twice as much as the cost so these wont be far of £120 with sellers mark up.

But still an £80 saving over the race ones.

Apparently they were for sale on ebay Uk once for £80.

However they only raise 6.5" and for a fatty like me I need 10" at least!

No gay comments please as this is a serious thread! :boxing:
