johnd2 Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Hi Folks, be surprised if this hasn't been previously posted, but did do a couple of searches and couldn't find anything.. Interesting stateside project with a Nissan 5.6 V8 from the Titan "full size" pickup truck.. Full article here: http://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/498038-my-vk56-swapped-350z.html Does anyone have any ideas how feasable this "strawberry" front end conversion would be, i assume a shed load of work?! Also looks like it could do with a bit further refinement. Quote
Beavis Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Also looks like it could do with a bit further refinement. +1 looks terrible Loving the shut lines Quote
DoogyRev Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I think the word "Expensive" come to mind. Also 370 lights and bonnet on there too........... looks a little odd to me Quote
Lexx Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 looks a little like the front end is melting Quote
DoogyRev Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Looks like he has just bent the wings to fit, and pretending they are "cool vents" Quote
marzman Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Good to try something different though.... and i bet the V8 is interesting... Quote
MDMetal Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 not great is it? I do love the 370 lights though, the square lights on the 350 are its worst feature personally, not much you can really do apart from those mad eyes which arent great either. Quote
johnd2 Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 looks a little like the front end is melting Lol V8 on the dyno sounds lovely though Quote

Madmarky Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Its a track car, im sure he dont care that there are big shut lines. From the looks of it im sure its actually close enough that you could pull it off perfectly with a little effort. I bet this sparks of a few others to try it and probably someone will get it looking perfect. Quote

Ekona Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Just because it's a drift car or a race car, doesn't mean it has to look like it was thrown together like a kiddy playing with Duplo bricks. It's a great feat of engineering, but instead of us sitting here and congratulating the guy about this we're moaning about the shut lines FFS! That's why we wear a suit and tie to job interviews, because first impressions count. Quote
