craigo Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I went for this one:- F1 OLL My nickname is Oll and I'm a big F1 fan. It was far more than I wanted to pay but it was the only fit that really meant something. (I initially wanted V6 OLL, but that wasnt available) Quote

leonk Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Saw PEN 1S on a cherished number site for £120k I kid you not!!! Quote
TomS Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 That plate cereal is ace! Think the most expensive looking plate I've seen was a Veyron that drove past me with the number plate "B1". Wonder which cost more, the car or the plate? Quote
Kev T Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 i have had B101OGY on all my cars for about 15 years but when i bought the 370 i had it registered KT 10 ZED. Quote
TomS Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I've been looking at getting a personalised plate and found one for around £1400 all in (VAT and transfer fee) which is the lowest I've found it. But then I started thinking about another plate that would be better. I contacted one of the 3rd party sellers and they said the plate was going to be released by the DVLA in around 3 months. Is there any way I can grab the plate before they do as I assume they're just going to buy it, stick 50% on the price then try to sell it to me. There must be a way of me getting it from the DVLA before them? Will it go to a public auction? Quote

Then you can register an interest and they will notify you. Quote
TomS Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 It doesn't come up on the DVLA site when you put it in. I found out by asking one of these 3rd party sellers if they could find out about it and they said 3 months. How would they have found that out? Quote
ATTAK Z Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 PM me with your plate if you're happy to do that .... I promise I won't steal it ...... I have three of my own Quote
ATTAK Z Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 A plate you will be interested in is coming up in about three weeks ...... download the catalogue here http://www.dvlaauction.co.uk/acrobat.asp with a £2000 reserve Good luck Quote
