Hi, new Z owner

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm Tony from Sutton Coldfield.

Recently bought a 55 plate 350z and absolutely love it!!

Already started looking at mods, upgrades and other things I can do to the car. Plan on doing a few lube changes (will be a first for me) and have found the info on the forum to be really helpful.

I will get some picture on here as sson as possible but looking at what some of you guys have done to your cars mine is going to be pretty boring. All standard at the moment (apart from a K&N panel filter) lol! Tell a lie, I had an issue with the clutch and swapped the standard hoise for an SS one with upgraded fluid (advise from this site) worked a treat no more sticking pedal.

I have owned a Ford Focus ST for the last 5 years. Managed to get hold of one pretty much as soon as they came out so very few on the road. Nowadays you see them everywhere! Previously owned all of the hot hatch type cars, 306 GTI's, Astra SRI's etc etc. This is my first rear wheel drive, 2 seater and can't take the smile off my face.

Never lifted a spanner before in my life but all set up to become my own mechanic (s much as I can manage).

:welcome: what mods are you thinking of. :)

Hi, still very much in the exploration stage at the moment but quite keen to look at upgrading the air intake and possible eqhaust upgrade for starters.

Love the look of the car and not planning any body kist at present but the standard alloys could do with a refurb and very tempted by the black look. Anyone running a silver Z with black alloys? Would like to see how they look before taking the plunge

The Zed can never be described as a boring car..........if you not modding it then just make sure its cleaner than everyone elses!

Good for you with the mechanics.........probably best reading my post history for a 'not what to do' guide.

As for anything useful there is usually a guide on here for most jobs.

LOL! Well I did spend most of the first weekend with a clay kit and several different tubs of wax.

I almost bought a silver Z with black alloys. It was just the standard OEM base alloys (not Rays) and they had been painted black. Looks pretty good IMO, then with black Z badges etc it all starts to go together quite well.

There will definitely be some people on here with that kind of set up so hopefully you'll get to see some pics soon. Photoshop is also a brilliant way to have a look at that sort of thing.
