im a massive fan of roulette but recently ive been on a losing streak. I stopped gamblin and bought the missus a new car lol. Only ever play in the casino and limit myself and walk away as i like to keep playing and i end up losing a fortune. I really enjoy playing roulette though

not keen on the poker & fruit machines should be ilegal imo.

Why should poker be illegal? At least you have some control over it unlike roulette ;)

But generally have a bet on the horse's and play poker and i make a tidt sum each year on that, its all about discipline and patience and been a moderator on this forum for the last few years as certainly helped in that department

- poker = not keen on

- fruities = should be illegal

Prob gamble too much to be honest  but been doing quite well recently :teeth:

Mainly bet on football, used to do a coupon every wkend but now instead of backing a bet generally I lay a bet eg I normally lay 0-0, I bet that the score will NOT be 0-0 but odds are really bad, anywhere from 9-1 to 50-1 therefore for me to win a tenner of odds at 9-1 I risk losing £80 or at 50-1 I'd lose 490 :scare: a mate at work is making a wks wage every wk doing this every day. You are actually being a bookie and people are taking the bets.

Used to play quite a bit of poker but dont really have time now

Go to Cheltenham races once a yr generally just a day on the beer and normally lose

Play blackjack if I go to the casino much prefer it to roulette as there's a bit of skill involved

Very rarely play fruit m/c s nowadays but used to as someone said previously I think they should be banned

Mugs game!

I disagree, someone in my family is loaded and has made his living out of gambling. Of course theres risk involved, but when calculated these risks can be reduced. Ie different people know roulette dealers throws and can guess an area where the ball will stop.

Poker is a very very clever game which to play with skill is very hard to learn.

The only question is if you want to take the risk and gamble. Every day we gamble in some form or other, but we calculate the risk involved.

Theres a guy on here who has been posting up his poker matches, he makes his living from playing poker.

....... depends who you play...

I am not really a gambler but if I see a Pharaohs Gold fruit machine then I could be tempted to pop a £1 in

Its got a £200 Jackpot, I used to sit and watch people fill it up over lunch time and I am talking Hundreds of pounds here, and twice I wont the Jackpot (once with 20p and once with £1), one of the jackpots was a repeater so I got £400 out of it... that was the 20p go... and boy was I not popular for a month or two :lol::lol::lol::lol:

I only ever put £1, at most two or three times a week. If I averaged out my weekly winnings over 5 years I rekon not including the 2 jackpots I made £10 a week B) ....... all that from just watching and picking your moment to play.

I occasionally bet on the national.... but that about as far as my gambling goes :D

i purely gambled as i enjoyed sitting in a casino with say 100 quid to bet. Regardless of whether i go out drinking it, to the cinema with the missus, id still be spending it. Gambling for me, personally, is a form of entertainment

Love horse racing but only bet if I can watch it either on the box or live. Enjoy an occasional trip to the casino mostly play blackjack. Gambling's not a problem as long as you only gamble what you can afford to lose.

Now I just bet on football, Horse racing (the few times a year I actually get to go) & the odd game of poker & blackjack online :)

I agree poker can be defined as a game of skill. But roulette and the likes are games of chance no matter what you say. The game is designed to have the odds stacked against you, just enough that you think your winning but will always be loosing. The only people that make money in a casino are the owners!

You might be the lucky guy who puts down his first bet and wins a fortune, but chances are slim. Long term gamblers from my experience, always loose more than they gain.

I have an uncle who's always shouting about the thousand here, or hundred there which he won on the horses or the football. But he never admits to the thousands he's lost before that.

I play poker every Monday if I'm not on shift, everyone puts in a tenner and the pots split between 1st, 2nd and 3rd. On average I was about £9.50 up per game last year so approx 100% profit each time I played... shame we only play for such small stakes! :teeth:

wow.......quite a few of you then. i seem to go through spells of poker, play every day then might not play for weeks. ive had a few good pay outs with roulette and football accumulators, but as somone said, its a form of entertainment.

the internet has made it so easy nowadays. i will have a quick look on todays events later and see whats whats no doubt a tenner on an accumulator will go on.

fruit machines (didnt wanna leave any one out lol) are not for me...especially online.

i was very skeptical at 1st online (well gambling in general)........

.......you know the stories......."£100 on red please sir"........"sorry its black please come again". but after playing a few systems (roulette) you relise you can reduce the odds of loosing/winning but yes, the odds are always in their favour without doubt!

horses....ive had some good tips ££££ but yi ive lost to lol, if theres any tipsters amongst you......dont be shy eh! haha :boxing::D

good to see so many of you interested.
