350zStephen Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Oh, and peeps.. this is the Justgiving page I have started for Macmillan cancer, which is a charity my dad holds very close to his heart. I have entered the Strathclyde Parkrun 5k this Sunday, and also the Great Scottish Run half marathon next September. http://www.justgiving.com/stephen-farrell/ Stephen. Quote
Cragus Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Sponsored mate! Good luck with the run. Its a really positive thing to do - I bet your dad is proud. Lets see how close we can get you to that £2000 target before Sunday. Come on peeps! Quote

Cragus Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Could a moderator please put Stephens link in a seperate thread, perhaps as an announcement, as its possible that some people who have read this thread may not think to go back in. Quote
geoff-r Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Keep your head up mate, stay strong for your old man. I'm a similar age, reading this does put things into perspective. Family is the most important thing. Quote

350zStephen Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 Thanks alot for all your donations, and kind words. I am truely stuck for words on how much I am touched by the generosity of this community during these hard times for my family. My work also managed to raise £345 from the few people that managed to make it in today. Stephen x Quote
Cragus Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Looks like you are doing well so far mate - 26% of a huge target from online donations alone. Let us know how you get on with the run and you final total! Free bump - get donating people! Quote
Ricey Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Donated After looking at your photies I think you'd better make sure you use some of the money to get some Brylcream........if you don't get that hair gelled down it'll cause some right wind resistance Quote
350zStephen Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 Donated After looking at your photies I think you'd better make sure you use some of the money to get some Brylcream........if you don't get that hair gelled down it'll cause some right wind resistance Haha, cheers. The hair is now all shaved off. It is postponed until mid Jan. So that'll give me time to beat those Ethiopians to the finish line. Managed to do 10k in the gym today in just under 50 minutes, which is not bad considering i've not ran for nearly 6 months and put 2 stone on! Update on how much we have raised so far.. Just over £1000 which is amazing, and my three elder brothers still have to put a sponsorship sheet around their work. Thanks all. Quote
Cragus Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Sounding good so far mate! You will blast the £2000 I am sure! Quote
