was8v Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 First off I'm a new owner of a 2004 Blue 350Z GT! Had great fun picking it up and on the drive home. Have a few questions: The clutch bite point is kinda "immediate" at the top of the pedal travel not "gradual" over the last half of travel like most cars. the clutch doesn't slip (as far as I can tell). Makes it a little tough to drive smoothly. 1) Can the clutch be adjusted in some way? 2) Next up, what is s decent diagnostics fault code rear to use? Had VAG-COM on my old Audi which was great. Look forward to becoming a regular on here! Quote
Maccaman Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Hi & to the forum. You should soon get used to the clutch but if not then worth considering lightweight clutch & flywheel. Quote
Ruddles Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Nice looking car, great colour choice! The clutch gets easier over time, but If you find it to your disliking take Maccaman's advice! Quote
was8v Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 Hi & to the forum. You should soon get used to the clutch but if not then worth considering lightweight clutch & flywheel. I take it they are all like this then? I did what you are not supposed to and bought the first car I tried (so I don't know!). Oh and I viewed it in the dark and the rain..... Also I will be servicing the car myself. Is there a breakdown of what exactly is involved in the P1 P2 and P3 services anywhere? also fluid types and capacities I need to buy to give it a full service? Thanks. Quote
Simon+Kat Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Your hand book gives all the service details....somewhere. Welcome buddy Quote

was8v Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 I've been getting 27MPG (and rising) on my 8 mile daily commute. This can't be right! Computer says close to 30mpg on motorway runs with the cruise at 77mph! Thought these were supposed to be thirsty cars!? I guess I'd better start using it properly - are there any forum organised track days in the North? Quote
martinmac Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 If you want to kill the figures it can been done easily. We are a bit short of track days up north but Japfest is worth the drive. Quote

alandam1984 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I knew i recognise your username from somewhere. Guess we both made the right choice from the switch from a TT to a 350z. I still need to get used to the clutch. I notice i can take most turning in a higher gear. Quote
