Anubis Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Not sure about UK, but apparently the US figures are: 2003..... 36,728 2004..... 30,690 2005..... 27,278 2006..... 24,635 2007..... 18,957 2008..... 10,337 Quote
nixy Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 you'd think there must be a lot more than you actually see! on way home tonight - 25 mile trip - numerous TT's old shape and new, coupes and soft tops, plenty z4's and boxters, 2 911's, an audi R8 (looked amazing) and an Aston but NO zeds! Thats what i like about it! Quote
Zednick666 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 To put into perspective, I've just driven approx. 250 miles home from Edinburgh, and saw NOT ONE! Only saw 2 on the way up on Tuesday Quote
nixy Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 do you think the reality is that everyone's laughing behind our backs and thinking they are revolting??? Quote

Thats what i like about it! +1 i see astons around here more often than i see zeds. I pulled out of my road a couple of weeks ago, and no joke, at the traffic lights there was a 911 infront of me, one behind me, a cayman along side me, and another 911 came the other way! And they were all looking at me! Quote

bronzee Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 They might be a bit more common in Scotland though. Quote
JT1703 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 They might be a bit more common in Scotland though. Every 2nd car you pass in Aberdeen is a Zed !! I see a lot more now that I have one ... or maybe I am just looking out for them now ?! Quote
stanski Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 In aberdeen they have given up on Fiesta's Corsa's and Micra's they have Zeds as the supermarket run abouts! On my 700 miles weekly commute I only see about 2 or so - and they are the same 2 every time! Quote

And they were all looking at me! That's because you were staring at them Actually they probably all wondered if it was a new Porsche and better than theirs. It's very competitive in the Porsche owners world (pour souls). Quote

I asked him if he was part of an owners club and he said unless you have a 911 GT2 (or whatever the best one is) you just get ridiculed! Quote

zDan Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I think it's been a month since I've seen another zed... Ok, I've only been doing the work commute, but still.... Where are you guys! Quote
ab350z Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Can pretty much guarantee I'll see 2 or 3 a day walking to and from work. Think someone on here has AAN reg? See that heading towards Union Street, another GM parked at Albyn Hospital, red one parked just off Union Grove, azure on the same road as my work (DOL reg). Quote
Lincolnbaggie Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I drive from Lincoln to Brum every other Saturday and in three years I think I've seen two others. Rarity is a wonderful thing if you ask me. Quote
stanski Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 they might be rare but every kid knows what they are and most people at traffic lights and junction will be checking it out Quote
Lincolnbaggie Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 they might be rare but every kid knows what they are and most people at traffic lights and junction will be checking it out Kids around here always have their camera phones out when I go past and I get the thumbs up every time Quote
docwra Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I wouldnt say that are that rare, but compared to Boxsters and defnitely TT's you see less of them. I find mine gets a lot of attention in France mind you - they dont seem to know what it is Quote
Chris`I Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 They are pretty rare on my 75 mile round trip route to work. Seems however that there are loads in Aberdeen! Quote
jerry3167 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I live and work in and around the Croydon area, Rarer than HENS TEETH, except when I see Boomer816 across the road from where I work Quote
BulletMagnet Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Common as muck round my way.....lol you got : Dunker (lives down the road and to the left from me...) SilentKK8 Sally and some two or more I see driving about. Saw a silver/gunmetal Gallardo yesterday tho, but they are becoming more common too, makes that two Gallardos in Ipswich, that one and a powder baby blue one. Quote

Yup - they're getting common in Dundee too..........there's at least two blades, a GM and a Sunset down here - there was even one parked outside my village Spar the other morning (Cue Welsh valley accent please) "But I'm the only zed in the village" Quote
andlid Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 think nissan sold 5 per year in ireland... so rarer then a porsche! Quote
rich5259 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I think the Zed made up about 450 per year of Nissan's import quota, can;t we ask the press office for accurate figures? Quote
