HAMLNJ
Great thread I started in 1990 with my first car, a Triumph Acclaim 1300HL, i can feel the jealousy That lasted me 5 years after which i traded it in for a J plate Honda Civic Saloon....no pics of either as they were very dull. I saw sense after a couple of years with the Honda and traded it in for this... Was standard when i bought it and slowly modded it into the above. Owned it for 6 years and it was a fantastic car. Sold the MR2 to buy my Skyline... Spent a consider ammount of money on it taking it to 406bhp, was a fantastic car and owned it for almost 4years. Sold the Skyline to buy the Zed.... Only had the pleasure of owning the Zed for around 18months and sold recently due to having a baby on the way and needing 4 doors and more than 2 seats and bought this last week to replace it... Mitsubishi Evo 8MR FQ320, an awesome piece of kit which will hopefully stay with me for a few years and give me alot of fun... And thats it so far Dave I'm pretty sure we met at castle Combe year or two ago. I emailed you some pics of you on track. You had the wife with you if I remember. I was able to be there for the delivery (which was painless)... My first (gunmetal, 53 plate), St Albans multi storey car park again, about 9 years ago... GMballistic
Yep Mk1 3000 GXL , it was quite modified had around 190hp as opposed the original 138hp That's quite a lot of power for what is essentially a light weight car especially by todays standards. I bet that was fun to drive.

Dave-350
do you prefer the m3 or the zed? I'd actually choose the e36 M3. Anhialates the zed too!
mouthwash
do you prefer the m3 or the zed? I'd actually choose the e36 M3. Anhialates the zed too! Thing with the M3 was it was in totally mint condition and I owned it for just over half a year and put about 300 miles on it as I didn't want to use it. Only had 50k on it and had spent all it's life in the garage of a pilot. The Zed is no where near as valuable in terms of collectability, so let a friend buy it to store it in his garage Being my only car and taking into account the above it wasn't really viable (in my opinion) to keep it. I'm happy with my Zed anyhoo and can see the M3 whenever.
350zPabs
I started off with a 2002 1.2 Corsa SXI which was horrible in every way 2 years later I brought a Cliosport 182 Trophy The Clio was a brilliant little car. I sold it after 2 years to get the Zed but I would have another one any day. I seem to spend most of my time here now

Meeerrrk
Some nice cars in this thread!! Was reading last night so i'll post some of mine. I'm 30 now, and had around 25 cars so far, so I wont bore you all - these are a pick of my favourite. All these cars were bought completely standard and I have made the changes you see in the photos! My first "modified" car (actually my 2nd car) A VW Polo 16v : I was going to put a 20vT engine in, but went the easy route and bought the SEAT Ibiza Cupra : I then sold that and got a new Mazda Rx8, which ended badly : I tried to buy the Ibiza back, but the guy had wrecked it so I bought a Leon Cupra and put the Cupra R bumpers on it etc : I then got a Mini Cooper S : An Audi TT : Then I had a kit car with a 1000RR Fireblade engine and gearbox as a track toy, so I had a focus to run around in and tow to tracks : continued!... Meeerrrk
I later bought a Golf R32 An E46 M3 with SMG gearbox Another Rx8, this time a super rare pearlescent paint / cream interior model I also had a Supercharged VR6 MK3 to play with at the same time as the Rx8 : A BMW 123D (tuned to 280bhp, MEGA fast and 50mpg!) I then stopped buying nice cars to help fund a house purchase with my girlfriend, and renovations from 70s chic to modern taste!! Currently I have a cheap BMW 118d We have this MR2 in the garage (not sure what to do with it!) And it's my girlfriend who has the 350Z Roadster
