Anyone live in a flat?

I've been looking at some, and was wondering what people do with regard to working on and washing their cars with communal parking and no outside taps...

Actually I live in a house but have to park on the road, so got one of these, does a good job too.

I have a flat for work. 
 

I wash my car when I’m at my house home. Otherwise I’d be running a hose out the window, down 3 floors and across the front garden!

I'd find a local BP that has a buy time jet wash & bring £2 and a bucket of suds.

I used to go to my local Morrisons for buy time jet wash, just don't use the 'super soft brush'

Car shampoo of choice 

Pre wash spray bottle

Wheel cleaner

Bucket

Wheel brush

Wash mitts

£2 (£1 to jet off at the start, £1 to jet wash off at the end)

Pull it round the corner to dry off or steady drive home.

Apply prewash....

 

Jet rinse is not as powerful as proper jetwash but will suffice

 

 

Then 2bm wash and another jetrinse.

You'd need 3 buckets.

One shampoo

One rinse bucket

One for the jetrinse and applying the prewash.

Maybe a forth bucket for rinse water if yours are small.

 

One battery charge will cope with all that but I got a spare just in case

That Hydroshot thing does look to be the answer... And many buckets

Hardest bit is carrying all your gear / tools down to the carpark, then having to run back inside if you forgot anything. When I was at university, I often used to strip my old classic mini down in the car park and rebuild it.

Are you sure there's no outside tap somewhere?  My first place was a flat and they had an outside tap hidden in a landscaped area for the maintenance/"gardeners" to water the plants etc.  Have a poke around the undergrowth, won't look dodgy at all  

 

I made up a system using a 12v leisure pump and big metal jerry can for washing my mountain bikes before I stuck them on my roof after I'd been out on them.

Granted it's not as elegant as a Worx portable pressure washer, but it does the job. Couple of jerry cans so you're not doing loads of trips and you're sorted.

Suppose there might be - not exactly a thing you can hunt for when you're viewing... Maybe at a second view? 

 

I think it'll work, though. Just lots of exercise, and the occasional trip to a BP.

When I lived in a first floor flat I used to fill two 10/15 litre plastic Jerry cans and use that to wash the car. 

It wasn't ideal but worked well.
