Tonight's line-up at Rock Climbing... Twin Turbo RX7 (engine re-built), TVR Tuscan (engine re-built), Elise (Honda engine swap)

Unfortunately the 335i and SL55 AMG couldn't make it.

Great pic, two Tuscans and a Z. Brilliant collection. B)

Have a great wedding day tomorrow. At least you will get to drive the TVR long after the wedding, rather than my short lived TVR fling with the Sagaris.

All the best, we will raise a toast tomorrow night in the Peaks for you. :drunk:

Wedding went off beautifully - I'll post the car pictures up when I get them from the photographer.

Stage 1 of the honeymoon is a few days here - http://www.hshotels.co.uk/bailiffscourt-hotel-and-spa

I won't bore you with pictures of how beautiful the rooms and grounds are, or how bloody good the food is, but I was chuffed that I can see the motor from one of our bedroom windows :)

Well it obviously was not you,but a purple Tuscan drove over the blue bridge in down town Rhyl on Sunday afternoon while I was jet skiing.

Pure coincidence.... (or am I now going to notice/see lots of them :lol: )

  • 4 weeks later...

TVR was sent to a very well reputed TVR specialist when I went on my honeymoon for a general once over, 6k service and an MOT. I went to collect after my honeymoon, paid my £1100 bill, and upon starting the car it had an ECU error on the dash and oily smoke started coming from under the bonnet. Not forking happy!!

They've since discovered they didn't change the rocker cover gasket properly, which was leaking oil on to the exhaust. They are still yet to fix it, and I'm totally in the dark still about the ECU fault they added.

I normally try to do all my own work and giving it to a specialist was a treat to myself so I can avoid the garage floor time myself. Such a disheartening experience. :-(

That doesn't sound too promising. Suppose mistakes do happen even with good mechanics.

Hope it's all sorted easily

Father in law has a full set of spare wheels for the Tuscan S with tyres although not sure how much life in them but could find out, he brought a brand new set at some point even though the set on the car werent bad he just wanted it immaculate for TVR shows etc, and still has the old set laying around since his Tuscan tried to kill him he has no use for them. In case you want a track set or a set to get re-furbed

I know lots of guys don`t like to see the garage mechanic road testing their car but back in my day you did the work and then road tested it to make sure it was ok and nothing like this ever happened.

I expect a garage to road test it. But not abuse it for obvious reasons. People who I don't trust don't get my car. Simple.

Commander are things working out and getting resolved?
