mattross1313 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 The new wheels transform the car! Look so much better that the previous ones - which were looking a little dated IMO. Just needs spacers now 1 Quote

samsniss350z Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) Dude, congratulations (along with plenty of envy) on purchasing a beautiful rarity. I've a feeling you've posted on the US website as that is where i saw your first post, what can i say but enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. You can tell the impact your Zed has made by the pages of "welcomes". There are so many beautiful touches to it but my fave is the turned out lips of the wheel arches Edited September 11, 2016 by samsniss350z 1 Quote

-G- Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 Found this awesome taster video on the GT Channel that helps explain the concept behind the 380RS, it's role in dominating Porsche in the ST1 endurance series & its heritage in Japanese Motorsport :-) https://youtu.be/njB-bfq-XgE The full best-motoring video goes on to pit the 380RS against a Porsche 911 GT3, NSX-R GT, FQ400MR EVO & a Mines modified 350z. 2 Quote
planetsurfer2 Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 245/40 R18 275/35 R18 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... Much grippier (is that a word?) than standard size tyres? Quote
-G- Posted February 24, 2017 Author Posted February 24, 2017 So I recently moved house & had a barn (read garage) built to store my pride & joy - I also took the opportunity to buy a K3 Karcher with an Autobrite HD foam Lance - results below; I have to say I was pretty impressed with how thick i managed to get the foam, I've seen it ridiculously watery before but not with this :-) In case anyone fancies giving it a whirl: http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/index.php/autobrite-hd-foam-lance-magifoam-combo.html 2 Quote

reeceybeaney Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Awesome find, hope you look after it well! As I'm sure it's the same with most of us here, you get that feeling when something is quite special... maybe it's jealousy lol *now awaiting subtle mod build* 1 Quote
jamiebridge Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 I didnt even know this car existed until this thread, cant really find much on the net about it. How much is one of these worth? Looks great! 1 Quote
-G- Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 They are not very common at all, even in Japan they are few and far between with the limited production of them. In collector's circles over there it's widely regarded as a future investment, provided it's stock and in excellent condition. They vary between 3.5 million Yen & 4 million, mostly on colour (white is the most desirable), mileage, condition & mods. I've seen some rougher examples in silver go for around the 3 million mark. Todays exchange rate has those at: 4M¥ = £28,000 3.5M¥ = £24,500 3M¥ = £21,000 https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/search/search?auccat=26360&ei=utf-8&tab_ex=commerce&p=380RS&type=all That's before shipping & taxes, obvs. Quote
Stutopia Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 You bought at the right time G, with the pound now at rock bottom. Saw a couple for sale in Japan when googling this morning, talk about tempting, this is a cast iron rare classic of the future. There were probably more 2000GTs made than 380RSs and look what they're worth now! 1 Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 (edited) This one looks good: https://page.auction...tion/o188115936 You bought at the right time G, with the pound now at rock bottom. What's wrong with the GBP? It's strong and stable! Edited June 17, 2017 by Adrian@TORQEN 1 Quote
-G- Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 LOL Adrian, I have a wee spreadsheet made-up of all the 380's that come on the market - that particular one has been on sale since January :-) Quote

-G- Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 I was tempeted to throw some money behind another sure-fire Japanese classic - the Civic MUGEN RR http://www.goo-net.c...0505380001.html - 5M yen http://www.goo-net-e...8003/index.html - 4.3M yen Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Not bad, but for some reason I prefer the 380RS more... 1 Quote
