tomzzzcattle Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) The Tommy Kaira gear knob, these JDM parts are getting very rare now. Spotted this spacial edition one on Ebay number 72 out 100 made! Link: Edited May 21, 2016 by tomzzzcattle Quote
Jay Kay Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 These always cost a fortune and due to the length, look unlikely to fit well on a zed gearstick shaft Quote
tomzzzcattle Posted February 21, 2016 Author Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) They seemed to have a massive following across the pond, which I believe ( from what I've read ) was mainly due to there fit, feel and weight! Edited May 21, 2016 by tomzzzcattle Quote
GMballistic Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Looks ok to me but what a ridiculous price for a gear knob, ...regardless of it being some super rare Tommy version. I've much better things to spend my money on that, like food & stuff. 1 Quote
coldel Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I love the way they make 200 of them (pretty easy shape and design to make, give them a 5p printed out certificate, then charge people silly money - people really are mugs nowadays 4 Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Time to make some TORQEN titanium ones at decent prices 3 Quote
GMballistic Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Time to make some TORQEN titanium ones at decent prices Is there anything you can't source/have made?!! I want a TORQEN R35 GTR when you start making them btw. Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 You can have mine later this year By then it would have a lot of TORQEN products on it, including the BBK we're working on already Quote
Kraziekatz1 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Not doing it for me I'm afraid.....prefer my nismo one! Quote
HaydnH Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Time to make some TORQEN titanium ones at decent prices Make me a copy of the Zele one!! I love the not over top Ti burn effect (i.e: a nice slight gold/blue colour, not a fluorescent rainbow!). Quote
LloydZee Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I quite like it, can imagine it looks better when fitted too. However, not worth the price tag IMO Quote
Kev Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I honestly think that's the best gearknob you can get for a Z. They look great fitted. Prefer the ones with the solid colour turtle though. Seem to sell instantly in the classifieds on my350z. I'm between one of these and a nismo gt titanium. Quote
sipar69 Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) I looked into these when I was changing my stock shifter. They're prone to scams due to their rarity (one of our forum members paid for one and never received it.) I'd recommend checking out this guy. His workmanship is exceptional and he can customise to your specification, including unique engraving. He's not cheap, but the one I got from him was well worth it. http://lathewerks.com/shop/index.php?cPath=30_50 Edited April 14, 2016 by sipar69 Quote
RobPhoboS Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Time to make some TORQEN titanium ones at decent prices Don't make lightened ones mate, they are CRAP, a decent weighted one is what is good for shifting. Quote
Kev Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Somebody on this forum has one l I think there are a few. There was a group buy a few years back. Quote
Mopedmark Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Pathetic that's all I have to say about that Quote
