  1. I'm not an expert on these, but like them lots - it was either a 240 or a 260Z. It was metallic blue and even though it was dark it looked mint - I even pulled into the inside lane after overtaking him and slowed down to show Mrs Leeroy. The driver was looking very debonair in a flat cap! It sounded awesome too.
  2. Naff all so far, but I'm not too fussed. Going out to Pizza Hut tonight so will stuff my face then! Sounds like an excuse to push the boat out and order a stuffed crust
  3. Happy birthday! Did you get anything nice?
  4. My cousin had a white Scirocco with tan leather and it was 'juuuust' the right side of orangey brown. It's a shame because the Alzean would look great in the Zed if they were more brown.
  5. :surrender: I reckon the Dale Winton seats are awful
  6. Will it have a 3 pointed star on the front?
  7. It's not far off, surprisingly. It looks sensible to me
  8. Hoping for this........ Not hoping for this.......
  9. +1 on him taking the pish, as you say I'm tempted to cover the Focus shed in badges too, might start with bullet holes
  10. Send me some pics and details, I can have a look into it. Thanks I'm pleased to say I don't have one, however accomplished they may be
  11. Can you stretch to a 335d, if you want to retain 'some' of the agility of the Zed.....
  12. This looks like a good honest car, if you're in the market for this particular colour spec. At this price for a cherished forum car you can't go wrong - if the new owner was planning to keep it for a few years he/she should be happy to throw a clutch in and not have that to worry about it during their ownership Don't worry about the wheels or tyres, just agree £6K with a potential buyer and take the cash. Definitely lose the pics of the car in pieces, it only detracts from the ad. I can't believe how cheap these cars are now, such a lot of car for the cash. I just hope plenty of them remain unmolested by the Halfords posse.
  13. Very Fast and Furious. Each to their own though.....
  14. It's a scam mate, post up the ad. Where did it say the car was sold for that price? It seems someone went to decent lengths to scam this - normally they just rip off an ad and leave it at that. It was my car and Rob did buy it......
  15. He looks like a cheeky chap I like the way you focused on the rug thereby generating interest in Alfie by making people wonder what the fuzzy thing in the foreground is
  16. Not too bad then, you'd expect a few ponies to escape over 8 years........ Are you wishing the Nissan ECU wasn't so 'clever'?
  17. Interesting. So 255 brake was the starting point? That's pretty low. I reckon the engine's alright, wonder if it's breathing OK?
  18. Voted, some really nice shots in there (and a few dodgy ones!). Look forward to seeing the results
  19. Hi Rob, I'm good ta Look forward to seeing the results, I always wondered the car was anywhere near the quoted stock figures. I'm a tad envious of you guys making these specific mods as I always knew the Zed would come alive with them but couldn't justify the cost. Right now my soul is gradually being eaten away by the Ford Focus sat on my drive Sorry for the thread hijack ScottyP!!!!!
  20. Looking forward to seeing the results too Rob - be interesting to see what it made What was the starting figure?

    clay bar!

    'Special' means 'costing money'

    clay bar!

I also recommend the Bilthamber clay bar using water, does a great job and I can't see how a different bar which needs special lube could be any better. HaydnH the water IS the lubricant, you get a big old chunk of clay which you tear bits off and throw away after use in the same way as any other brand. No scratches
  23. Buying a sports car when you hit 'mid life' is only applicable if you have prior history of driving crap cars and probably aren't much good at driving. Associating a contemporary SAAB with a mid life crisis is lame reporting which is lucky to have kicked off this thread. Although I did run a GM 900 Turbo for a year or so which was rubbish and excellent in roughly equal measure, it could have been fantastic with a few simple improvements
