  1. Nice But they look a bit expensive
  2. A quick bump...... I totally agree that putting cloth seats in a GT is a bit retarded but it's the only way I can think of fitting into a GT spec car. From what I've heard they won't look too mismatched and I intend to remove them and put the leather seats back in when I sell. It's all a big ball-ache but I reckon it'll be worth it to get the car I want (badly!). So, any fitting advice for replacing leccy seats for manual ones? Cheers, Leigh.
  3. Check out the bouncy yank suspension of the cameraman
  4. Laughed at this BTW " Manual Cloth seats in a GT: "
  5. Thanks for the advice I can't believe a car supermarket are charging that sort of money, even with low mileage. The salesman was entertaining tho, they spout such tripe I was intending to swap the seats back to leather when I sell it, would it be a straight swap leccy to manual seats, ie runners/fixing points etc? It bothers me a bit that if I get a non GT it might be difficult to shift on, just have to make sure I get a good value one With a bit of luck I'll be in a Z within a couple of months
  6. I'm pleased to say I had a test-drive in a Zed today with non leccy seats and I fit I have to say the power didn't blow me away although it's definitely quick. I'm not concerned as I've read on here that it's just down to the ease with which the car effortlessly piles on (A LOT ) of speed. It seemed overpriced though at £16,899 for an 04 plate non GT? I'm definitely getting one, but really wanted the GT pack - is putting manual cloth seats in a GT a bit ghey? Would the interior look stupid if I left the door cards? Noob question as I have been in one but are the 'cards even leather in a GT? The car I tried today had gold Brembo's - are these standard on a non GT? Sorry for all the questions, Cheers
  7. Ahhhh, TILT! Don't think I found that all may not be lost I planned to try non GT's with manual seats this weekend but I'll try another GT and play with the tilt - where's the control? I assume all GT's came with leccy leather seats? Cheers y'all....
  8. I'm sure the car was a non-GT, well thats what the Nissan Dealer salesman said, whatever that's worth It didn't have sat-nav. Does the standard car have a denomination, isn't it ST or something? Having taken a closer look and test fit yesterday I have to say I was quite impressed with the interior. Does the 'wheel adjust for reach and rake? Cheers
  9. I'm 6'7" so I have this problem a lot. The headroom was the real problem, but having re-read this thread the non-electric seats may be worth trying. The cars I sat in were a GT and a non-GT with electric seats.
  10. I had a test fit for a Z at the weekend and am gutted to say I don't fit Knees up around the steering wheel (didn't check reach/rake though, thinking about it) and head just and inch off the headlining. So I need to seek an alternative steer, so disappointed. Thanks for the friendly welcome though Enjoy your Zed's you lucky lot......
  11. There's an interesting article about tax brackets in this months Evo magazine. It is confusing - I read it twice and still didn't understand There are a few ways to pay less tax, ie buying an import, or something produced in small numbers like a Caterham (tempting!). Or you can mod your car and it still retains it's original status on the V5. Another suggestion was to buy a pre-1972(?) car to qualify for tax exemption - there were a few interesting suggestions like Ferrari's etc. I think that owning an Early '70's Ferrari to save a couple of hundred quid tax would be a bit of a false economy though Either way the outlook's bleak. Lets root for Porsche, at least if they shaft Red Ken it'll be a start
  12. Nice one, hopefully I'll be drifting back soon
  13. Cool, thanks all, we'll see how I go. Is there anything to hold out for in particular regarding specs of the car? It looks like I'll be wanting the GT model, not really fussed whether it's an import or not - is there any reason why I should be? I know there a lot of happy import owners out there. Be nice to have Brembo's etc though. And leather. I'm probably looking at an '04 model, maybe '05. Are there any spec changes to be aware of? The new 07MY engine looks a belter, shouldn't think a lack of power at higher revs is really a problem on the road anyway is it? Cheers
  14. Sounds promising Thanks for the speedy welcome, location updated in profile
  15. Hi, I'm new to the forum as I'm considering (strongly!) a 350Z as my next car. I'm hoping to look at some soon but have a quick question of any drivers over 6 foot. How much room is in there? A TT fitted me, how do they compare sizewise? I really hope I fit I'm looking for a Coupe BTW
