  1. Nice rims Loving the splitter too, discreet attitude
  2. Aviators? Don't think that's bronzee
  3. I've been through the same thing, as mentioned there's a fair amount more room in the non-GT due to the lack of electrical gubbins. That said I'm 6'7" & can just about get comfy in the GT.
  4. Ah, sorry. Another grand off and it'd be a tempting proposition if you planned to keep it awhile. Has anyone seen it in the flesh? Leeroy...
  5. Apologies if this has already been mentioned, it seems too good to be true... http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... gLetter=05
  6. Agreed on the R26 Or for something a bit more economical and sticking with the Megane theme, maybe a 'normal' Renaultsport model. If you fancy moving to the 'Dark Side' Evo magazine rates the Diesel Renaultsport Megane they've had on their Fast fleet. Otherwise, a nearly new Golf GTi is a good option, the Scirocco is still a bit out of your price range unless you wait for 6 months. For something a bit different I'd be very tempted by the Volvo C30 T5 with the 5 cylinder engine from the Focus RS.....
  7. I'll echo the thoughts on German or Japanese, reliability should be better than Italian or french - having said that an Alfa 145/146/155/156 could be had for the money and will handle/sound great while it's working You're nearly into high mile/iffy GTV's too. I'd go for a Golf though - and get a GTi, just because you're only spending 500 notes doesn't mean you have to drive something that won't handle. Just don't get a MK3, they're pants unless it's a VR6 ; He are some MKII's... http://www.gumtree.com/london/70/33211970.html http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... egLetter=H I highly recommend Audi coupe's too, I used to own one and they're bulletproof, the 20V engine's the one to have if you can find one. Handling's OK if not great as they're a bit heavy. Hope that helps
  8. Can't see a link? edit: ah, it appeared after I'd posted, must be a delay on my pc... Nice colour
  9. Wow, he's got a bee in his bonnet (not the cause of the accident apparently) Understandable given the way Audi / Lamborghini has treated him. His page would be more objective for his cause though if it focused on accidents which pointed towards steering failure and listed other supposed imcompetencies/failures in a different section. Lambo are obviously reluctant to accept liabilty, although you have to think it would be less damaging for them if they did. Hope he gets his justice. There must be a few Murcialago drivers ouit there wondering if their steering is going to do an impromptu right turn .....
  10. No doubt they'll get away with it lightly. Scrotums like these really get my goat. What a lame way to live, always on the look-out for something for nothing. What a spacktard, how could you hope to accurately rip off a signature you've never seen? At least the rims are safe
  11. We're they 'recovered' from the wrong address then?
  12. Was bored today and found these, they've probably already been posted at some point but . . . . http://www.wreckedexotics.com/350z/350z ... _001.shtml http://www.wreckedexotics.com/350z/350z ... _001.shtml
  13. I wouldn't want a thread like this to influence potential buyers either but........... I'd also say that it could be considered as advice - I mean someone might sit on their cars price for ages not realising it's unrealistic. The guys on this forum are probably the best placed to comment on values
  14. Lamborghini's also in on the act.... http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/22927 ... toque.html
  15. I'm interested too - but the other way around, I might stick sports seats in a GT to make more room. I need to do some homework as to how easy it is....ie is the mounting rail the same on leccy and non-leccy seats

    Sleeper?

+1 - the extra weight of the 3.2 near as damn it negates any increase in power. Better to get the 2l and get it Revo'd True, but you can't beat the sound of a Vee Best to drive all the options...... On a different tangent for something more oversteery how about a BMW 1 Series Sport? 1 Series are a bit more common these days so should blend in. Wot he said Are you looking for a hatch or bigger? I'd say S4 all the way (but be prepared to change the chrome mirrors), or maybe an E39 535/540i if you want some oversteer. No one does understated like Audi. S3, R32 or your suggested Clio's for hatches, although the MkV GTi may be more understated. From Audi the 3.2 A3 Quattro would fit the bill, preferably with DSG. http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... x_mileage= = By the way, I think the Q car tags originates from war ships disguised as local fishing boats to avoid attention
  20. Had a day (actually about 12 minutes!) in an R8 a couple of weekends ago. Superb car and the instructor was pretty relaxed (and a 350Z fan ). That was at Prestwold Hall near Loughborough. It was a Virgin 'experience' and cost 100 notes. Not sure about deals though. I would say that if you can stretch to driving 3 or 4 cars on the day it'll be more worthwhile and possibly better value for money. Maybe AA or RAC have discounts?
  21. If your sister is more bothered about a decent drive than image, these are great options..... Panda 100hp, bit over budget tho: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... x_mileage= Swift Sport: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... x_mileage= I second the Ibiza recommendation - has she considered an oil burner? This one has high mileage but Derv's are tough and take big miles easily. http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... x_mileage= Hope this helps
