  1. Cool, thanks. Do you reckon it might affect the window itself - it drops a touch at high speed/surface compressions....

    Problem

Too good to be true. I think it is Sarnie
  3. The trim above my wing mirror has split an needs replacing - it's the bit circled in red on the pic. Is it easy to replace? Any idea of price?
  4. Indeed, oscar winning performances from the man in white I like Top Gear. It might not be as 'oily' as some car programmes but the format works and it means you can watch it with your other half. And the sound and video editing is superb, even if they probably take a few artistic liberties now and then.

    Photoshop help?

    Is that the Artistic\Underpainting filter
  6. I've used sniffydog and firstchoice spares in the past. You may have to register, just don't give your phone number (or put fake one in) and make sure they email you quotes, other wise you get charged for the texts they send. http://www.sniffydog.co.uk/ http://www.1stchoice.co.uk/

    Photoshop help?

Here's another with a bit more definition and some blurification
  8. Thanks guys, I'll make sure they know what they're looking at and book it in
  9. I'm about to get a new laptop too and will probably use Dell outlet. http://www.euro.dell.com/uk/en/dfo/df.a ... d=df&s=dfo You can get their 'Studio' laptop with 15" HD screen, up to 500gb HDD, up to 4gb ram and 1gb graphics for about £500 all in. Sometimes they have Blu-Ray drives for hardly any more money too. They're factory re-furbs with a 1 year guarantee. Might be worth a look?
  10. Got a potentially daft question but going to ask anyway Would toe-in/out be sorted when going in for 4 wheel laser alignment? Leeroy...
  11. Just remember the euro regulation breakdown kit as said. Sticking bits of crap on your car is always upsetting (unless it's got Nismo stamped on it!) so you could def the headlamp deflectors, I did but worried a bit about being pulled up for it by Le Gendarme. Whether it's worth it or not is up to you If your car has used much oil in the last 5000 miles take some top-up oil. Enjoy the trip!
  12. I agree, I don't think price is relevant, it is whether you are happy with what you have received. +1. It's fair enough that buyers shouldn't need to specify a price, prices always vary depending on stock prices, buyers spending habits with the trader etc. Having said that I've just booked in for a P2 with DMS based on feedback on here and their published prices It's the level of service that's the important thing, as Stew said most people are capable of googling prices and/or 'phoning around traders.
  13. No offense meant - I came from a Golf Sootchucker too (MKIV GT TDI 150). I was super impressed with it and always bang on about it being a good value performance diesel (those words always sound a bit wrong in the same sentence!). The engine was great and the handling tidy enough, but it was a tad dull otherwise. Good luck with your Zed hunt, you won't regret it
  14. It looks a good car, so long as it's been ramped and stamped it should be alright. The sellers description sounds honest for what it's worth. The exhaust looks a bit random but it's probably ok, I'm not keen on the wheels personally. High mileage cars can be fine if they've been looked after, motorway miles etc. Are you coming from a Golf Sootchucker?
  15. I've used these guys.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NUMBER-PLATES-IMP ... 2a06add66a Plates seem to be good quality and come with fixing pads, it looks like they do import sized plates too
  16. Evo's and Impreza's are proper driver's tools (or is that tools driving?) and I'd defo have one or the other in my dream garage to compliment the other two dozen cars. As you've all said the image is awful and the interior plastics aren't up to much but I've been for a fast ride in an Impreza and it was pretty awesome. 17. I was on UKSAABS for my brief 900 Turbo ownership and it was good too, the replies were slower than here though - keep up the good work all! I also used Audifans.net which was alright and ukMKIV's.net when I had the Golf - it was good once you'd sifted through the chavorama This forum is defo the best I've been on
  18. You'll be fine with a standard exhaust, I should think it's got a way to go before it starts worrying the noise meter.....
  19. I thought it would be chavtastic too, but that looks smart.
  20. It's scary to think it's that easy to get into a car. Good to know if you're ever homeless - great interiors & it doesn't matter if it's rubbish to drive when you're not going anywhere
  21. Enjoyed a swift convoy to Pompey with a 53 plate blade coupe at early o'clock on 26th June. We were heading for the ferry to France and he gave a nod as we passed Not sure it's worth a separate 'spotted' for the LHD blade coupe we saw in Le Mans Was surprised to see it in the sea of dullsville french metal!
  22. I bet they get people coming in to test drive a 370Z then buying a Murano all the time Good luck with the test drive bigmike20vt
  23. I'm also loving the fire idea, I should think you're hacked off enough to firebomb the whole car! Don't do it Another leftfield idea might be to fish it out with a REALLY strong fishing hook and some 50lb fishing line
  24. The Zed is much more entertaining to drive with the ESP off, but if you're not used to the car or a confident driver it's best left on It's just a case of not being too heavy handed, anticipate the unexpected (oil on road etc) and leave yourself enough space. I reckon the car is quicker with it switched out - if you like the car to move underneath you, you don't want ESP cutting power for you
