  1. Hi all, i recently posted about an issue after a wet day in which i had the CEL light up and the car randomly starting in limp mode (or not at all) Having used the pedal trick to get the error code as suspected it was the MAF sensor so I went about changing this, alex having provided me with a new one to swap over which I did immediately assuming I accidently got the other one a little bit wet. Long story short, even with the new MAF sensor I still have the same intermittent fault, where the car will be ok for a few days but then only start in Limp mode until I do a ECU reset and remove the sensor only to put it back again to fix the issue. I have checked the cable/connector thoroughly, there is no chafing, nothing loose all seems perfect. The error code comes up everytime as P103 - Maf sensor until i reset it. I wondered if anyone has come across anything similar, or could suggest anything i may of missed while going over this? Can anyone suggest a good specialist in the South East that may be able to shed light on this? I am loathe to put this into Nissan while the fault is intermittent only to have them charge me £150 to give me the error code and tell me they have reset it achieving absolutley zero. Thanks in advance (i hope) Spardz PS Thanks to Alex for a great / speedy service and advice.
  2. Hi all, So I went through a puddle slightly too enthusiastically, which resulted in the engine management light coming on, shortly to be followed by a slow limp mode drive home. The next morning, after thinking its best left to dry out it wouldnt even start, so i checked the MAF sensor, HT leads, filter, did all the things you would first think of. Disconnected the battery for 10 mins, came back, everything was 100% fine, running better than ever. However, after a spell of rain today, the problem has repeated exactly, managment light on, to limp mode, however it was just parked in the rain, i havnt driven it at all. Anyideas?
  3. Just to let everyone know. Incase this does ever happen to anyone again. New window/winscreen was priced at £691 from autoglass. But obviously it would be parked in a dodgy place and be an insurance job. However seeing as the keys were in the ignition, the AA guy (who was very good to be fair) managed to get a rod in after jamming open the window and press down the window control. If the keys hadnt been in there, and the windows not armed, i think it would have been a brick job. Thanks for all your help. Spardz
  4. I have to be honest, i have no clue. I was working on the passenger side, plugged in the air compressor etc. Then simply finished, shut the door, walked around to the drivers and everything was locked. I actually didnt think it was possible as the passenger side doesnt even have a central locking switch. The only thing i can think of is that I knocked the Central locking switch while leaning across and turning the ignition on while the passenger door was open...So when it shut....voila.
  5. Thanks for the tips guys. From all of the threads etc I have searched, the AA are unable to do anything, and either smashing the passenger window or the windscreen might be the way to go. However.....................my keys are in the ignition, and the electronics armed, so the little door unlock button next to the window controls will work just fine. Does anybody think they AA will be able to use tools to hit this button. (As in, you dont need to actually open the door on the handle, as these are a git to do i would have thought) ?? Has anyone got experience about this supposed Nissan Master Key?
  6. Hi all, This will be my first post on the forum however I do keep track of the threads. Ive done a VERY silly thing, and whilst pumping up a tyre managed to lock my keys in the car with the radio and other things on. (Spare set are being posted to me apparantly) Question is what is the best way to get back in. Has anyone ever done this before? Is it an AA job, or a window break affair. Advice ASAP would be appreciated. Spardz
