  1. Welcome Mr Bump! Your other half has good taste in cars Apart from the GT4 Special Edition (which isn't that special apart from colour), there are only 2 specs which are ; 1. GT, with extras such as leather and cruise control. 2. 'Non-GT' which is the base spec with cloths seats, no cruise control etc. Unless she plans to do upgrades to seats and audio equipment, go for the GT model as it'll be easier to sell come resale time. The GT only costs £500-1000 more and has the comforts that you really want from a car like this. Also, the Rays alloys are well worth getting as opposed to the standard rims - they look better and are lighter, believe me you can feel the difference between the two. Good luck - look forward to hearing about the new purchase!
  2. How's it done then? C'monnnnnn!
  3. Thanks Dave, you're too kind. Make no bones about it this is a good plaice to be, not too many pike(eys) either. I've had a whale of a time We really need to FINnish this and stop carping on.
  4. I had 4 wheels done recently, they stripped, wet painted and then powder-coated the lacquer so you have a tough skin on the outside. Normally it's £200 but it cost me £150 as they were doing a 4for3 deal. This was in Kent, a place called Inspraytion....
  5. Ah well, at least you'll get used to the stock power and will appreciate the differences
  6. Car sold to the gentleman who posted previously. I think i it was the tyre gloss that did it - what would we do without you Sarnie?
  7. Nice one, Jez will look after you. What are you having done? I always planned to fit a plenum spacer and HFC's and uprev map it, but never got around to it......you won't see much of a power gain but the car should be even better to drive and listen to
  8. It's normal from cold Rob, you've probably noticed it disappears when it's warmed up
  9. Haha, maybe i didn't think I'd be cool enough for the School or something along those Lines, no one likes to be Cast-off Actually i almost made it to a couple of the Kent meets and was disappointed that I couldn't make the Grasshopper a few months back, it ended being huge. Mebbe I'll turn up like a black sheep in something other than a Nissan at some point if I'm allowed
  10. They are good looking things, apparently a decent drive too. I fancy a V8 next but the SV8 is almost RS4 money....

    Zedless!

It's all good Dblock, it's gonna be weird owning a barge though
  12. Definitely not compared to a bike but I reckon the 350Z has exactly the right amount of power for the road. The power is all usable most of the time, sometimes it's good to feel like your getting everything out of the car. Good choice Chippy, the Zed has Sole and is a nice Plaice to be
  13. They are aren't they. I'm keen to find something which is a bit unusual AND drives well. After a bit of research it seems the downside of the B10 is the slush box and lack of LSD.....

    Zedless!

Thanks Rob, enjoy the car (where's that 'drive' smiley when you need it!). Buying cars is a bit of a nause - apart from meeting nice owners and enjoying a few test drives

    Zedless!

Not sure yet Humpy, something along the lines of BMW M5, Alpina B10, 335i, maybe an S4 if the B7 model isn't too understeery. We have a baby on the way so need more seats

    Zedless!

I sold my Zed to a really nice chap today, he's a car nut too so I know it'll get looked after and enjoyed He's already a forum member so he might be along at some point. I've been super impressed with the car and am sorry to see it go - at least I have a few test drives to look forward to over the next few weeks .
  17. So having sold my 350Z I'm closer to getting a family barge. I've decided a quite fancy an Alpina B10 V8S, does anyone have any experience of these?
  18. Good man, I'm in a similar boat but we need to upgrade as we're having a baby. I toyed with keeping the Zed but we're moving soon too so couldn't justify the cost - bit concerned about how I'll cope with a 'family car' but hopefully it won't be a sensible one I reckon for £8K the E39 M5 is a perfect upgrade if you need more space. Replacing a 350Z with a hatchback seems bonkers to me!
  19. What a result! Let's hope they find a Vulcan or two down there too
  20. If any bushes need replacing, it might be a good opportunity to throw some polybushes at it
  21. There are a couple of Lightning cars sat on Golden Square at the moment, it looks like they're part of a clean enrgy promotion by Ingenious Media / Investment, see here http://blueandgreentomorrow.com/2012/10/05/exclusive-access-to-invitation-only-clean-energy-event/ There's a prototype and a finished car.....
  22. Once a car dealer, always a car dealer Ed (me ol') China cracks me up, he's far too big to work on cars - most of the time it looks like he's working on scale models, and that's coming from a fellow giant
