Go to the Nissan dealership that you think that you may have the best chance of getting a free fix under warranty. It always helps if they know your face. Are they not all in furlough?

Sounds like a syncro issue to me, or perhaps a hydraulic CSC issue in the making but I would be leaning towards the syncro. Warranties do not cover wear and tear but only mechanical failure so you may have a fight on your hands. However if you approach the dealership in a calm and professional, non confrontational manner then you may get lucky. Warranties and extended warranties usually have the condition that the car must have a full service history.

Check your ABS sensor and the pick up ring on the n/s/f wheel bearing. Also check that your brakes are not binding and that there is no play on the hub.

Firstly, hook up your meter and check that the motors are getting a live feed. When you are there, run a 12v feed and ground to the motor. If the motor is good the motor will operate.
