  4. Hi mate, there is no such thing as a best pad, but probably the best all round pad for dailly use and the occasional track day would have to be the Ferodo DS2500s. I am just up the road from you in Perth so I can ship same day or you can collect. Drop me a pm if I can help you further. I am asumming that you are running the Brembo set up. Cheers, Alex.
  5. Pm me your full model and VIN number and I will tell.

  7. Extremely interesting, great work maxi-glasgow
  8. Stick with 5W-30 mate and the Genuine Nissan oil filter, part # 15208-9F600 Alex
  9. Hi Mike and welcome to the forum mate Hope that you get your car back on the road very soon and then you will find that your jaw will ache for months.
  10. At 22% Sandy that would probably be an unsecured personal loan. A conditional sales agreement or similar will have a much lower apr but he won't own the car until the last payment is made. Any garage keen on a sale should be able to negotiate a decent apr with there finance company. A higher initial deposit also generally helps cut a deal in situations like this.
  11. Hi Alex, I take it the small ones are for non-Brembo fronts and rear and Brembo rear? Yeah, probably but just trying to generalize mate as it gets to complicated listing makes and models. The 350Z non Brembo front may fall into the small category but the Brembo rear definately does. I don't envisage a guy with a JDM brake set up wanting to spend circa £85.00 on Titanium shims and likewise Titanium shims on the rear Brembos are not really required if you have the correct brake set up and bias for your car and properly installed. But all types of shims are available in Titanium and all I require is a footprint of the pad if I don't already have the shape. They are all manufactured to order and takes about 3 days to turn round. At the moment all I am stocking for next day delivery is the Brembo 4 pot front and the front 6 pot pad shape ST-60 which fits the majority of BBK. Please note, these are not anti squeal shims but bespoke Titanium shims manufactured specifically to reduce the transfer of thermal energy. They will greatly reduce the heat transfer from the rotor to the calliper thus reducing the boiling of fluid and brake fade and the melting of calliper piston dust covers and piston seals and in severe cases the discolouring of the callipers themselves. Cheers, Alex.
  12. Chris, Your front Brembo callipers will be shipped on Friday mate with the titanium shims. If any one else is requiring the Titanium shims then just drop me a pm. They will be in stock and available for shipping from Friday. These are not imported and they are manufactured in the U.K. Prices as follows. Small.......£75.00 for a set of 4. Medium....£85.00 for a set of 4...Brembo Front 4 pot. Large......£95.00 for a set of 4...BBK Front 6 pot. Alex.
  13. Could be any number of things but if you require a clutch kit then I have them all in stock good to go. viewtopic.php?f=38&t=27436 Cheers, Alex.
  14. If it is a private transaction then you must get the car checked over by someone who has a sound knowlege of the Zed. You also must get a full HPI check carried out. Ideally the service book should be fully stamped and up to date with all servicing receipts and documents which will then give you the opportunity to check out the validity of same stamps with the appropriate garages. You should also be looking at the history of the car before it came into the U.K. You should also be looking for proof of ownership and clear title. Be very careful indeed when departing with your hard earned.
  15. TTBOMK the service data held within Nissan and BMW are different. BMW have a Nationwide U.K system which includes all BMW dealers where as Nissan only operate an inhouse dealer system. ie you would require to know the name of the dealer where the car was serviced.
  16. Time to call these guys and relocate to a new home in the sticks. http://www.pickfords.co.uk/ I know of a wee but an" ben that would be just ideal.
  17. The OD of the stock pipe is 60mm The ID of the stock pipe is 58mm The CTC of the front flange is 105mm The CTC of the rear flange is 102mm The CTC of the front Y flanges are 97mm
  18. The stock exhaust is smaller than 3" but as long as the flanges are the oem size then it will marry up to the cats or Y section.
  19. They are oem size and wrapping is a good idea but not much room. They do come in different finishes you know.
  20. As From A to Zed has suggested, give me a shout mate and I will talk you through the options. You will not have to change the clutch plate again unless it is faulty or damaged. Cheers, Alex.
  21. The aggressive or less aggressive set up is obtained by the direction of the slotts on the face of the rotors. What we are referring to here guys is the direction of the fins between each face of the rotor. The fins must be facing backwards as per the image that I posted up otherwise the rotors will run far to hot and crazing will appear on the rotor face and the transfer of thermal energy to the callipers will be excessive resulting in the fluid boiling, melted piston seals and dust covers and discolouration of the callipers. Also without Ti shims this transfer of thermal energy will expediate. Chris, further to our conversation today, I may have sourced Ti shims in the U.K and hope to send them out with the callipers. Alex.
