  9. Hi Steve, Makes perfect sense mate. In a situation like this the most cost effective way around this issue is to replace the damaged "suspension" parts with preowned. If you wish to consider going down this route then drop me a pm as I have all the parts that you would require at a fraction of new Nissan prices. Cheers, Alex.
  10. One of the terms and conditions of the Scotsure warranty (and most other insurance type warranties) is that once a fault has been reported, then the car should not be driven for any great length of time or distance for fear of subsequent damage. The is an insurance policy and the terms and conditions must be adhered to or run the risk of the claim being rejected.
  11. Here is the linky to there web site I also forgot to add in my previous post that if you are a member or a trading partner of the SMTA then the process of making a claim is made even more easier for you. http://www.smta.co.uk/scotsure.php
  12. Talking from hands on experience, this is how a Scotsure warranty authorization works. If done by telephone and if the claim is accepted at that time then a claims reference number is given to the garage over the telephone. Job gets done. Bill sent to warranty company, less any customer contribution. If the claim is not initially accepted and a strip down is requested then no claim reference number will be given and the reference number will continue to be the original policy number. The strip down will be at the expense of the owner if the claim is rejected. If the claim is accepted after the warranty company engineer's inspection of the stripped down components then a a claims reference number is given. Job gets done. Bill sent to warranty company, less any customer contribution. Quite simple and straight forward really. Alex.
