When the car is cold add enough oil to get the level on the MAX mark and then do an oil comsumption test over the next few hundred miles. If the oil light comes on then your level will be dangerously low with perhaps only a litre or 2 left in the sump. The capacity is 5 litres and fully synth 5W30 is the preferred viscosity. You will only be able to get a true dipstick reading from cold, preferably after sitting 8 hours. The exhaust smoke emission concerns me. Good luck Alex

May be an issue with the overflow/breather system. Or may be one of the 2 seals at the top of the tank where the pump/sender units are fitted. These will only leak when the tank is full. These seals must never be reused and new seals must be fitted every time that they are disturbed. Access is from behind the seats so no need to drop the tank again. I have them in stock if required Alex

There should be no play on the rear sway bar bushes. Easy swop out and only £8.00 each. Best to remove the rear shock for a bench test, again very easy to remove, 1 bolt at the bottom and 2 nuts at the top. Eibach sway bars are are great upgrade, however the sways and links will really have little effect on low speed straights. Same with compression rods even if the ball joint or bush is worn, unless the bush has fallen out which would also give you a loud knock on uneven surfaces. First thing that I would be looking at is your tyres mate, however I am struggling to see how you can have the issues that you have described whilst travelling in a straight line at 30 mph.

They tried this a few years back and it never caught on as most, including myself found that the cambers were all "wrong" and there was insufficient run off areas where it mattered which did not inspire confidence, however thay have now addressed the run off issues with some major work having taken place during the close season. Cambers remain the same. The KRC reverse circuit is extremely demanding and expect your lap times to be down by circa 6 secs. Alex

Chris, I would wrap all exhaust stuff that is close to the clutch lines and tube. I would also wrap the clutch lines and hose.
